Creationist child abusers close doors

hey that's your problem.....I believe in an intelligent designer......if he can create DNA I expect he knows how to manipulate it......

And so you add to the Bible and fill in the absurd flaws with more nonsense. It's fine for you crackpot cult of one, but it's not science and cannot be taught as science.

That's fine. You're entitled to believe what you want. There are many mysteries in this universe that science cannot explain. But let me ask you this, what useful predictions can I make and test using that concept that model natural phenomena?

For clarification here....when String says it "cannot be taught as science" he doesn't mean that it is prohibited to teach this concept as science but that it is literally impossible to teach it as science. It simply cannot be done.

I've brought this up before and will probably do it again.

I've never seen any group that says it doesn't believe in a particular thing, try so hard to try and make others believe as they do; yet those who choose to not believe in God or the Bible, seem to spend an inordinate amount of time doing exactly that.

By the way; I would say the same thing if there was a bunch of religious believers on here, trying to convince the non-believers.
Are you implying that those of us who believe in valid scientific theory, like biological evolution, can't believe in God?

Scientists don't make things up; they analyze, study, look at the evidence, test their theories, etc. If you seriously are dissing science, you have more problems than anyone can possibly help you with.

Bible? it's made up.

Children who don't learn real science are behind the 8 ball when it comes to making it through life. Unless they just become preachers, I guess.

Actually almost nobody needs to "learn real science" to make it through life. You really think that the lady at Spencer's at the mall needs to know the Scientific Method? The great majority of people in the US are truly ignorant of the Scientific Method and incapable of understanding the math that describes the universe as we know it.

As I said, "children who don't learn real science are behind the 8 ball when it comes to making it through life" - maybe she wouldn't be at Spencer's if she understood science?

And yes, I think people make better decisions in life if they understand the basics of science - in terms of supporting politicians, in terms of making choices about where to donate money to, etc - they are less likely to be scammed if they understand science. Less likely to fall for a preacher that says the end of the world is coming. And if they understand a little math, they would understand the odds of lotteries and casinos a bit more (in the case of those who spend a lot of money on those two activities)

Can you make it through without science? yes. But you're always behind those who do understand it, at least its basics.

I'm not sure how you arrived at any possibility of me making such an assertion; but I guess it has to do with what someone is thinking, prior to them reading a post.
Anyway; my comment has to do with the enthusiasm that so many "non-believers" spend, trying to force and convince believers that the Bible is wrong.

Amem cuz. That's a big reason why the public marginalizes us as geeks.

Ah..I see your point. I don't have a dog in that point. To me that is the opposite end of the same point. It's a false paradigm.

Last time I checked there was nothing about creating new life/animals in the text after the flood. Might as well just treat the flood story as allegory than create a new cult with your additions.

and nothing that prohibits it.....though personally I believe that evolution solved that problem.....

Would you care to rephrase that question? It doesn't make sense. Did you mean to ask, show me one test or experiment supporting macro evolution that has been independently reproduced?

you claimed you have provided thirty instances where macro evolution has been independently reproduced.......just to make sure, I pasted your comment directly into my question......since we both know that has never been done I would like to see you attempt to show even one.....
