A 29-year-old driver was issued a battery of charges ranging from fleeing police to driving under the influence after he allegedly crashed into four vehicles Sunday and tried to run from the scene on the Magnificent Mile, police said.
The crash happened in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue about 4 p.m., said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.
Reggie Thompson-Seay Jr., of the 3600 block of South Rhodes was charged with felony aggravated fleeing. He appeared in Cook County bond court today and was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
He also was charged with the following misdemeanor counts: driving under the influence, attempt to elude police, failing to notify damage to an unattended vehicle, resisting a peace officer, driving without ever having been issued a license and possession of cannabis.
He also was also issued with six traffic violation citations including driving on the sidewalk, negligent driving and others.
According to police, four vehicles were struck.
