CRT has its roots in Marxism. That's fact. The people today pushing CRT today may not be pushing Soviet style communism but it doesn't take away the history of it.
My guess is there are people on the left who in the privacy of their own home would speak out against CRT but wouldn't do so in public for appearing non P.C. and being on the same side of the issue with people on the right.
