No matter how you cut it, what happened to this man is tragic and up until recently, I felt there was a broad consensus that the officer involved should face serious criminal charges. Even people who are usually willing to believe the officer's version no matter what were forced to concede that this officer was at fault --- but now, I think they may have a way to blame the dead guy on this one.

According to Dallas officer Amber Guyger, she issued verbal commands to the deceased and he wouldn't comply with her commands, so she was forced to shoot him. In other words, she is trotting out the old "the scary black man wouldn't comply so I shot him" defense. This is a pretty good defense because there are many times where "suspects" don't comply and in turn the officer fears for their safety and shots have to be fired -- but this man was not a suspect, he was in his own home, she was the one breaking and entering.

Unfortunately, after some time has passed and the attention is not as focused, I can very well see this excuse paying off and this woman facing no serious time. What say you?

Race Pimping Bullshit .....

Gotta love another fake news article with an anonymous source from a racist site written solely to stir the racist pot.

Leftist are mentally ill.

Here in liberal fascist Maryland, we had a black off duty cop strangle his 17 year old, innocent black neighbor to death ... and the cop was found not guilty because he used police techniques.

I'm sure in the op case, the sentence will be too light as well.

Bigoted racist, Rimjob believes women are afraid of all men. :palm:

This was a tragic case and I think all the racist race baiters getting involved cheapens what happened.

STOP RESISTING!

You understand these Leftist are mentally ill ....

Yes, the unhinged insanity is blatant.

These cases should be focused around police brutality and abuse of authority, ... not politicized racism.

Politicized racism is always a fail with the American people today.

It's no longer the 1980's and 90's.

However, I don't think this case has to do with racism or police brutality.

This was a tragic accident and should be dealt with accordingly.

She aimed the gun and pulled the trigger. Not an accident. She was mistaken in her assessment of the situation, but she did not make a mistake according to her excuse. She thought it was her place and the burglar was a threat. She meant to shoot. That she thought she had to shoot was a mistake and not an accident because she is trained to think that way.

It was an accident.

If it were intentional as you allege she would have be charged with 1st degree.

Has Colin Kapernick weighed in yet? Nike?

Seems like this is something that is right up their alley

Maybe he can kneel on their behalf? Nike can provide new sneakers for him to be buried in

Can Colin explain why Botham was another black man who refused to do what the police officer requested?

If you don't want to get shot, do what the police officer tells you to do.
