Airborne viruses travel MUCH further than six feet, dude. They are in the air everywhere, and on every surface. Plastic barriers at cash registers won't stop it. Masks are completely useless against viruses.

No so much embarrassing as unusual, stupid, and definitely spectacular. Removal from the gene pool is the requirement, so it is possible to win one and survive such as the guy that replaced a cartridge fuse in his truck with a .22 cal rifle round that subsequently went off and took out his testicles. Or, the guy that was picking up a racoon he though was road kill only to have it come alive and bite his testicles off. In both cases they survived but were removed from the gene pool for their obvious stupidity.
