Defend This

Evince can be foul mouthed. So what?
I know dudes on here more foul mouthed and beligerrent than her, but they are not held out as examples of psychosis and derangement.

I personally refrain from being foul mouthed, and I do not like it.

But you know what really bothers me, and should bother every high life form? The unrepentant racism, ubiquitous misogyny, widespread bigotry, and unrestrained anti-Semitism that is tolerated on this board. It is so widespread that no one hardly even comments on it - but they seem to find all the time in the world to complain about Evince's potty mouth.

You take the high road!
They hate you for it.

Hello. It's MY OP -- so how exactly does replying to opponents suddenly become "piling on"?

As for the photo, it was posted on Melania's Twitter feed by her assistant. The media found it there, and so did the rest of us.

It was not chosen deliberately by the media boogeymen to make the Toadstool look bad.

I am surprised that the White House and their staff are so tone deaf they are unable to recognize that hamming it up for cameras while posting with a recently orphaned baby is an abject and shocking failure of social etiquette.

I literally know 13 year olds who would realize they should not ham it up for the camera when posing as an act of solidarity with a orphan.

In Trumps defense,he probably hasn't a clue how inappropriate his actions were.
Just another photo opportunity to him.

The Toadstools are bullying, angry people who demand absolute loyalty. You wouldn't have a job for them for long if you said, "Excuse me, Mrs. Trump, but this photo doesn't really convey what you think it does."

My theory is that pig shit always attracts flies.

The type of people who would willingly work for Trump are probably like him - they lack social etiquette and decorum

First Amendment rights? Is this like "the pen is mightier than the sword"?

The Second Amendment doesn't say anything about people not being able to have guns without it.

No, it's that our collective Constitutional rights are far more precious than any individual's life. It's something people who believe in liberty will never be able to agree with the sheep on.

I disagree. There was nothing wrong with the uncle agreeing to meet with Trump, and bringing his nephew. What makes it despicable is that the Toadstools used it as a publicity thing -- Melania posted this photo on her Twitter. "Look at us! Look at us showing compassion! We are being best!" A truly decent leader would have kept it a private meeting, perhaps with a photo for the uncle to show the child when he's older. NOT used it as a publicity stunt. Yes, all presidents have had photos taken of them comforting citizens after a disaster. But they did not pose like this, with a smirk and a thumbs-up, with survivors of a massacre.
Right, like Trump should have had tears streaming down his face. Give me a freaking break.

The man wanted a pic with the President and he got one, just like everyone else. Yes, it is that simple.

All of this other crap about his thumbs up and "smirk" (smile), "Melania posted this..." is just Trump Derangement squared. Seriously.

He's been crude and boorish his entire life. I swear it's in his DNA.

It is. He's a brutish and dull little boy who was born into a family with enough money to impress the neighbors, and he ran with it. Unfortunately the world is filled with similar brutish and dull little boys -- and the equally brutish and stupid females who admire them -- and thus the Cult of The Donald was born.
