Define a 'Liberal' or a 'Conservative'

So where have you been for the last 30 years? We've had the biggest wealth redistribution to the top since the Gilded age and maybe even bigger. You supported 2 unfunded wars, a failed 'trickle down' theory and deregulation that led to a near disastrous economic meltdown. The tab has been running for 30 yrs and now it's time to pay.
No....I do not think I am who you think I am.

So a straight couple is so fundamentally WEAK, that a change in the mere definition of a WORD will make them weaker? Are you suggesting that straight couples are THAT pathetic? That a definition can hurt them?
I know it'd ruin my marriage.

You want a libertarian, no tax no govt involvement utopia? go to Somalia the only true libertarian utopia on earth. Otherwise taxes are the price for a civilized society. Ahhh... I forget, the right no longer believes in society.

This is the absurdity that most left wingers take when describing libertarians. Just stop. It is pathetic. Libertarians do not want 'NO government' or 'NO taxes' etc... it is not the absolute you pretend it is.

Because the state has a compelling interest to recognize traditional marriage, since it is the backbone of the family, which is the backbone of a civil society.

the state also has a compelling interest to reduce gun violence, therefore by your position, gun bans should be constitutional.

In other words, you overstepped again and don't have the balls to admit you fucked up.

What are you talking about? He is correct on this issue. By prohibiting gay couples from attaining the tool (marriage license) that provides the benefits, it most certainly is our laws that prohibit them.

Just curious is all. One of each would be sufficent. And TRY to avoid derogatory remarks boys and girls.

A Liberal is someone who thinks if you get sick and need help, the Government should help...

A Conservative is someone who thinks if you get sick and need help...too bad...you should be left to die...

The audience Monday night’s CNN Tea Party Express Republican primary debate was eager to see the death of a hypothetical man who was in a coma and also did not have health care insurance.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer posed this question to Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul: “A healthy young, 30-year-old man has a good job, makes a good living but decides, ‘You know what? I’m not going to spend $200 or $300 a month on health insurance because I’m healthy, I don’t need it.’ But something terrible happens, all the sudden he needs it. What’s going to happen if he goes into a coma? Who pays for that?”

“What he should do is whatever he wants to do,” Paul replied. “That’s what freedom is all about, taking your own risks. This whole idea that you have to prepare to take care of everybody…”

“Are you saying society should just let him die?” Blitzer asked.

The audience responded with shouts of “Yes!”

what is it that you see wrong about freedom of choice?

Please ban Alias, this post changing is really stupid!

My dear.... just toss him on ignore and you won't have to see his stupidity.... and yes... it is mind numbingly stupid. Doing it on occasion can be funny, doing it on every single post is a sure sign of retardation.

(Note: by saying it can be funny on occasion, I have thus protected myself from the ... 'you do it too crowd'.... so nana nana na na)

Except it doesn't prohibit them from the benefits that he claims. :)
