DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM: THE GREAT OXYMORON!!

The number of these freaks running for President is getting bigger. But the thing that makes it so funny is they call themselves "Democratic Socialists." This is like Jumbo Shrimp it's an oxymoron. With the emphasis on "Moron."

You have to be brain dead to espouse these "ideas." First of all there is nothing new in Socialism. And there is nothing "democratic" about Socialism either. It is in fact a contradiction in terms. For those of you educated in the public schools let me define that for you. It means that one term contradicts or means the opposite of the other.

Socialism takes away choice and opportunity, it requires your compliance with their idea's. It uses force to compel you to do what they say you must. There is nothing about the individual. No liberty, no freedom, no deviation from the States edicts.

Consider what the great French Philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville said about Socialism.

“Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”
~ Alexis de Tocqueville

While I disagree that the USA is a "democracy" our Republic is not comparable with the ideas of Socialism. It is a known fact that Socialism leads to first a "Soft Tyranny" or Soft Despotism as de Tocqueville called it. Consider this quote next.

“After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
~ Alexis de Tocqueville Democracy in America, Volume II (1840), Book Four, Chapter VI

TBH, people like Bernie Sanders are using the word "Socialism" incorrectly. What he wants isn't Democratic Socialism, it's "Social Democracy." Social Democracy is the furthest left you can go while still having a mostly free market.

But do these terms really matter that much? If I tell you I'm a Democratic Socialist, you know that what I want is a mostly free market with regulation to help the working-class. You know I don't want Marxism. Words and terms change all the time. So why all of this fear over Democratic Socialism when we know that it's just another term for Social Democracy?

Where do you derive your data points. The US is not a Democracy and the Europen countries are capitalistic. The difference is where they direct the taxes. The countries that spend money on education and support programs for citizens are still capitalistic. That does not change the fact that the people work and pay taxes. They vote and have similar governments to ours.
We are an oligopoly with more and more power and money trickling up to the top. It is America that is moving away from a democracy.

The truest definition of Fascism is an economy that has the illusion of private ownership with extremely heavy Govt regulations. In effect the Govt has control of the means of production while maintaining a false free market.

A true free market or Laissez-faire economy is the best when it comes to the efficient delivery of goods and services to the people in the society. The more the Govt gets involved the more mucked up it gets. Look at Venezuela they can't even put basic staples of food in the stores. People there have eaten all the Dogs and Cats from the streets and raid the Zoo's looking for something to eat.

In the US I live near a small city in the Mid West. I can go to no less than 5 grocery stores, Kroger, Wal-Mart-Miejer-Aldi-FreshThyme and get just about any fresh vegetable I want. I can choose between 20 different kinds of bread, dozens of brands and types of milk, every meat that is common, chicken, pork, beef, 5-6 different kinds of fish, and shell fish. I can walk down the rows and see 50 different vegetables in cans and jars. Drinks from soft drinks to alcohol and not just one choice or 2 as in the Communist/Socialist countries. 5 stores with just about anything I want. How many choices do the people in Venezuela have?

And nothing has to be in "season" for me to get it! Our economy makes it possible for me to have fresh strawberries in the winter. The USA is the closest thing to a free market there is. But the freaks like Pocahauntus Warren and Comrad Sanders want to flip all that on its' head. There is not a single industry that they don't want to control. As if these two clowns who have never held a private sector job or managed a lemon aid stand can micro manage the economy! They are truly what Alexis de Tocqueville called Masterminds.

If you haven't read Democracy in America by de Tocqueville I highly recommend it, also pick up a copy of Liberty and Tyranny by the Great One, Mark R. Levin.

There is really no difference between Fascism and Communism they are two forms of Socialism with the same goal, Totalitarian Control of the people.

No, there isn't. But you will have leftist loons desperately flailing to suggest otherwise.

Centralized ANYTHING is a very bad idea. Unfortunately for the loons on the left, they have been indoctrinated rather than educated. Therefore, they stupidly believe that Government will protect us against criminals, will provide us with housing and a safe retirement and take care of our poor.

It is truly a lazy ideology built on lies.

Yeah they will rail at the idea that their beloved Communism is the other side of the "Tyranny" Coin.

They yip about the poor and how we need to take better care of them. The USA is the only country in the world that has Fat poor people. Obesity rates are higher for people living in "Poverty" in the USA than they are for the population as a whole!! How is that?

I see poor people all the time they have IPhones, IPads, Nike Shoes, most drive cars, a large number of them drink booze, smoke cigs, and dope. Why our poor in the US seem wealthy compared to the masses in the great socialist countries of the world.

But then the leftist will start yapping again about "Income inequality" which is the biggest irrelevancy of all.

The type of market you're talking about is what they have in all countries that have Social Democracy. None of the Democrats running for president want to take away the free market.
And really, we heard all of this doom-saying about Socialism and Fascism when Obama was running for president. He became president, he made some regulations to help the working-class, fixed the economy, and we still have our free market and our democracy. We didn't become Fascist, the government didn't take away all the guns, and we still have freedom of speech.

Venezuela didn't have Social Democracy, but it's a bad example anyway, because it was doing well before America got involved.

You know there is a reason they are called "Progressives" it's not because they love Progress. It is that their programs are designed to take more and more freedom away from the people in a "Progressive" manner.

Obamacare was designed to fail. That way the progs could come in and demand a state health care system. A single payer system, then they will nationalize the entire healthcare industry. All Dr, Nurses, hospitals, clinics, will all be employees of the federal govt. Then they will take over the medical device and drug industry, because we can have them "profiteering" now can we comrad.

If you think that Warren and Sanders are not communists you're nuts.

But that never actually happens. The freest countries in the world are all countries that you'd call "progressive."

That doesn't make sense. If Obamacare failed, then it would be more of a reason to have less government in healthcare, not more.
And in Europe, they still have private doctors, the government just helps make it affordable.

If you think that Warren and Sanders are not communists you're nuts.

How are they Communists? They don't want collective ownership. How exactly are you defining Communism?

LIE and LAME. Their agenda will destroy all markets. What do you think Free education, Free healthcare and guaranteed minimum income mean?

Yes, and we ended up in a economic malaise and worst recovery in the history of the Republic. Idiots like Obama and the FAKE media told everyone get used to it, it's the new economy. Trump proved them all wrong in ONE year.

The only people who loved Obamunism were losers on the left and RICH FAT CATS on Wall Street.

Venezuela didn't have Social Democracy, but it's a bad example anyway, because it was doing well before America got involved.

More bullshit from the bullshit pontificator. Venezuela is a disaster because it's leaders bought into the Socialist dogma morons here spread.

First of all the most free country in the world is the USA. Second to the bold that's not the way the progressive left works, they would say, "See Obama did his best but the American Healthcare system is too broken to be in the hands of the private sector. We need a Govt take over."

Sanders took his honeymoon in the USSR. Warren is clearly a communist and if you need me to explain it you're too blind to see it even if I did.
