Prescription drug abuse causes the largest percentage of deaths from drug overdosing. Depressants, opioids and antidepressants are responsible for more overdose deaths (45%) than cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and amphetamines (39%) combined.

Make suicides and accidents illegal and gun deaths will be cut by approximately 75%. Isn't putting something on a piece of paper making it illegal the answer. You know, since making schools gun free zones has worked so well.

We would all live safer and less stressfully, if all guns were banned. However we know that is not going to happen. We can end semi automatics, bump stocks and large clips immediately. That would be a great first step. Then have the semis in circulation be turned in at cost. This is not about the second amendment. It is about the welfare of the people. That is in the preamble, which precedes the 2nd amendment. We all live more chaotically because of the NRA and gun nuts. Does your crazy idea of a second amendment right mean we have to live in a shooting gallery? I don'[t think so.

I did say NOT FOR BANNING, so yes, something should be done about the number of prescription deaths as well.

That fucking idiot, Hville. you need a doctors prescription for meds, and the opiates are a real pain to get, even if you need them, thanks to the opiate issue. It's just another thing that has proper regulation now, because of issues that arose. They need to do new tests often, and you have to go to the doctor, and pick the script up in person, show I.D., and sign for it. They can't just send it to the pharmacy. Just like the car argument these slimeballs are going below the bottom of the barrel, to try and excuse the selfish things they want. Fuck em.

hey dumbass, I know a dozen people right now that can get me opioids, muscle relaxers, xanax, you name it. it's out there and it's not that expensive.

Have you not been paying attention to the opiate epidemic plaguing this country currently? Everybody and their fucking Mom has pills. That "prescription control" literally did nothing.

I understand it fully, and they are really cracking down now. They wouldn't even consider giving me a script, until I had two more tests, just to see where the kidney stones are at. So I waited a good week or two with nothing. I normally hate the pain meds, and dread taking them, so if I need them it tells you how messed up I've been doing. People sharing meds is a problem, and many doctors in just writing scripts all willy nilly was an issue. Getting my pain meds just early last year was a lot easier, so it is helping. It doesn't stop an old lady or, someone sharing their meds though, or stop drug company pushers.

That explains your posting. But not your anger problem.

The fact that opiates are over prescribed is a huge problem. The authorities finally figured it out and doctors have to taper off and stop giving them. By then the patient is addicted, and he seeks other sources. Many find heroine is a cheaper way of getting relief. So junkies become a problem for the whites and the suburbs now.
