The LAPD officers are going to open fire on the NG? I don't think Bass has the clout or respect to get the LAPD to do it! Mayors come and go. The LAPD are career, and have to be here, in the community, for years to come.
If a person in LA wants to sell drugs, they join the Cartel Gangs, not the LAPD. A person who is a Power and Control Freak, might join the LAPD, but generally, those who are LAPD, want to help citizens and promote law and order.
If Bass gives an order that none of the LAPD will follow... what happens next.
It takes two to tango. If the Cartel thugs shoot at the NG, the NG will shoot back at the Cartel Thugs.
With the history of Kent-State in everyone's mind, the NG isn't going to open fire on anyone, until there is no choice. They would rather be derpy looking bystanders, than be on the wrong side of engagement.
If the Cartel Thugs open fire on anyone, their targets will fire back! Almost everyone hates the Cartel Thugs, including the rival Cartel Gangs. So, the Cartel Thugs fire on the NG, and the LAPD are going to join in shooting at the NG?! That will just never happen. The LAPD might stand around looking stupid, or they might join in shooting at the Cartel Thugs. Time will tell.
