In the end, the statutes are chunks of stone or bronze. I appreciate the talent it requires to build them, but I do not get politically charged when I see one. I do not know why people are emotionally involved. The confederate statues are erected with a message. They are a reminder of the south trying to destroy America to defend slavery. They also are telling you that, to them, it is not over. The following generations of bigots are alive and well.

AssHatZombie is arguing that slaves had to have built the pyramids because Egypt had slavery. The only way that argument works is if we accept that slaves were involved in literally every project in Egypt.
