Anyway, I simply state that an embryo is a human life separate, though supported by, the mother. Whether it is a person is where the real debate lies. Pretending that it isn't a human life is pretense only and is not supported by the science.

To whom? The Buddhist religion does not consider you a person until you are capable of higher thought, or born. This does not mean that they dismiss that it is life and should be revered itself, just that it is not yet a person until about month 5 of the pregnancy.

"Human being" would be the same thing as "person", so an embryo, while being a human life, is not yet a human being. The "being" portion clearly denotes that higher thought, IMO.

I'm cool with whatever definitions and terms you want to come up with. People are free to not get abortions, based on their concseince, if that is what they believe.


I'm not cool with legislators restricting fundamental choices a woman should have in consultation with her doctor.
