That's why you see viable Presidential candidates calling for M4A, GND, a wealth tax, a 70% rate on the wealthy, a 77% Estate Tax (and lowering of the threshold).

I believe the Democrats are going to replicate the success in 2020 that they saw in 2018. I think Trump is going to drag down the GOP so much that they could lose another 40 seats in the House, and the Senate can flip back to Dems...particularly if we field good candidates like Stacey Abrams (who I am hoping decides to take on Purdue in 2020).

Why even have a plan when we all know boarder security isn't really a problem?

It's time to put old racist right wing political strategies to rest and form new political strategies like telling the truth.

All this crap about compromising should be thrown out like yesterday's trash.

The Dems should move forward with exactly what they want todo and anyone who doesn't like it can vote for republicans.

We need to stop using right wing tactics.

I agree...and I think the Democrats are starting to realize it. Particularly as AOC, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren drag the Overton window back to the left.

We have had border security for generations. Fact is almost all drugs come through the 48 ports of entry. That is where the Dems are putting money. Interdiction does not work, but it is the American way. If you are going to do it, do it efficiently. Do it where the drugs are coming in.Trump wants to spend billlions because he made a silly promise when he ran for president. His ego is too big to admit he is wrong. He has admitted Mexico is not paying for the wall.We got that far. But he wants that big gold painted wall with his name every 50 feet.
If you are concerned about drugs, make it a medical problem and treat users. The opioid manufacturers are wealthy Americans. What is Trump doing about them?

If the government really wanted to reduce drug use, they would legalize all drugs like Portugal did.
And yeah, Trump is all about optics. He wants the big beautiful wall so it can stand as a testament to his time as president. Considering that immigration, both legal and illegal, has been falling, and most violent illegals come here by plane, the wall is kind of pointless now.
I am still in favor of it, but if it doesn't get built, I won't care much.
