did obama actually show bipartisanship or compromise?

Pale isn't the Senate Majority Leader, and of a Party beholden to an African-American voting bloc.

Only if they can turn their "black dialect" on and off, like dingy harry say's obama does.

Oh wait... he back peddled and kissed obama's ass after he said that, so the answer is yes.

Now this is a little different but not much. You posted a thread recently about why should John Edward's actions change how you feel about his politics? The same question to you do you want someone who would cheat on his cancer stricken wife and father a child with his mistress and attempt to supress that info associated with your beliefs?

There were about 50 million people each who voted for Obama and McCain. I know there are plenty in the 50 million that may agree with me politically that I would have other major differences with.

I think pale riders use of the n word here shows his own ignorance. That's my opinion. I don't need you to tell me how I am suppose to respond to him.

You may agree politically with Pale Rider, and that is fine, but he is makring comments about the Presidents politics and personallity that are stained with the stench of racism, mixing his political comments with the politics.

That is different than what Edwards did, and I still made a point to sepperate his disipical conduct with his politics and pointed out that the rest of Liberals do not necessarly share his conduct.

It isn't "opinion" it is observation. When you have to dig up the 18th definition in the "urban dictionary" in an attempt to show that your use of the word was "okay", it isn't me stretching. And some Mexicans may call each other "wetback" but that doesn't change that it is a racially charged term.

Good start!!

Most conservatives wouldn't agree with pale riders use of the n-bomb.

You don't know that. What you could guess about is that even if they did, they wouldn't admit it, for all the obvious reasons. What someone is willing to admit and what they truly think are two different things, and something neither you or I will ever know. The only thing you can truly know is what's in your own head.

You are right, I don't know what is in anyone else's head but my own. But I think I can pretty accurately surmise that unless you are listening to rap music or Richard Pryor the n bomb is not usually at the top of most people's mind.

True, and they should be the first to call him out on it so it does not start appearing that way.

It apperars more agree with him than I thought would!

This is the problem with not calling him out on this shit!

Dude, you don't have to call out everyone or everything you disagree with. And especially when you start crying about it right away.

The 7th and 12th terms expressed the same views, just not as articulate.

You appear to be backing off your earlier opinion that it was a "racist term", which I have stated that it can be or not, to now a "racially charged term", which of course it is.

Um... No... This is what I said the first time.

Dude, it's really not. It's a racial term, and attempting to apply it to others doesn't change that.

Emphasis added.

You sure dont...

And I often dont, but this is a pretty serious deal.... I am very suprised by how many Republicans seem to agree with Pale.

I was on the side of saying most of the allegations about racism being the cause of the Obama hatred was made up....

Now, I am not so sure!

Where is the outrage...

When Harry Reid spoke not nearly as offensivly as this guy you guys were ALL over HIM...

We tend to not hyperventilate over a use or term that has been beaten to death by you guys who want to deflect the real issue.

Obama is a lame duck.

Now pull up your trousers and grow the hell up Jarod

"how many Republicans here agree with him"

Please tell me all the Republicans here who agree with him...

Southern Man does affirmativly....

The rest I dont know because noone has called him out over the issue!

It's not serious. Not any more freakin' serious than the anyeurism you all had over Trent Lott's comments at Strom Thurmonds 100th birthday.

It's just another attempt to divert attention away from the real issue. The Prez is tankin' in serious fashion.

You are being a Drama Queen Jarod.

OK, if you insist on absolute precision, I'll re-phrase: You appear to be backing off your earlier opinion that it was a "racial term", which I have stated that it can be or not, to now a "racially charged term", which of course it is.

Which is of course the exact point as before.

That's inane, they are the same. Racial term=Racially charged term.

Now let's get back on the topic of you excusing the use of racially charged term using definitions 7, 11, and eleventy-three of the Urban Dictionary.

The reality is, when you are attempting to excuse this kind of thing using the Urban Dictionary then you are the one reaching.

I hope the national party takes that attitude and then we will see who tanks in the next election.... At least in the educated states.
