I finally got a chance to watch this joke of a summit, and I honestly believe this will be considered the beginning of the end for the Obama presidency. Historians will point to Obama's mean and condescending tone, and the public reaction to that. He didn't help himself, he came off looking like a total jerk, and we can expect his poll numbers will reflect this in the coming days. This was supposed to be a bipartisan meeting of the minds on healthcare, but Obama turned it into an opportunity to rub McCain's nose in his election victory instead. It just came off as arrogant and petty, and was totally uncalled for.

You always make poll # predictions, and are pretty much never right. The polls won't fluctuate based on this summit, one way or the other.

Well you are entitled to think what you like, and maybe you are correct, we'll have to wait and see about that. I happen to think a lot of independents were totally turned off by his attitude, it was snarky and arrogant, and more along the lines of the shit spewed here by liberal pinheads as opposed to the demeanor expected of the president. People with their heads up his ass, like you, actually probably enjoyed seeing him act like an asshole, but you represent about 20% of the voting population. The rest of us didn't appreciate his attitude one little bit, and this will come back to haunt him. I don't care if you don't believe me, or if you want to hurl insults at me, that isn't going to change a thing.
 
When Obama popped off at McCain and said "The election's over, John!" McCain recoiled and sat there with that stupid grin chuckling about it. That's the problem with McCain and McCain-type Republicans! If that had been J.D. Hayworth, he would have said... You're right, Barack, so why the hell are you bringing it up? We're supposed to be discussing the health care bill, not making political snipes! Republicans better grow a set of balls real quick, because that's how you combat this shit! You tend to use phrases like "the rest of us," like you speak for the majority of Americans, but time & again, we have seen, and it has been conclusively proven, that you do not.

No, I am actually a centrist on most everything. I realize we live in a society of diverse opinions, and I don't get to call all the shots, and things shouldn't simply be however I want them to be. I have strong conservative fiscal views, because I think fiscal conservatism is important to our future, and I believe in a smaller more limited government role in our lives. I don't support the radical right, very seldom do I agree with radicals from either side. You have portrayed me as a "fringe" righty, but that is because you are a dishonest fuck. Just like you want to portray the Tea Party people as some "fringe" group of radical righties, and they are mostly independents, as Massachusetts proved. You are so far left, that someone to the right of Stalin is a radical wacko! That's your problem, you have no perspective.

It's not what I believe about myself, it is how I am. You can't present any evidence that I am anything other than what I have claimed to be, a centrist. You have a warped perspective, and you routinely misconstrue what I say, which makes it appear I am some other way. The reality is, I am fairly middle-of-the-road on most everything. Most every "social" issue, I believe in the power of the people to decide what the boundaries of society are. Put it up to a vote and let the people decide on Abortion, Gay Marriage, or whatever. That's NOT a radical right wing way of thinking, that is fairly pragmatic, independent, and centrist in every way. It doesn't get much more fair than that!
