And just as good from the public's point of view, people who are vaccinated don't have to worry about passing along an illness to someone else -- especially babies, elders, and immunocompromised people like my youngest daughter.

A lot of prospective recruits today have health problems(obesity, diabetes), discipline problems, educational problems(they expect at least a high school diploma), tattoo problems, drug problems, or can just make more money elsewhere. The alt right tends to have some combination of the above.

Nonetheless, having a warrior class has been a concern since the draft ended. Couple that with someone like Trump and it could be a major problem.

Obviously, the military is going to have trouble recruiting educated people, but might be OK with less educated people. If trump tanks the economy, people might be desperate for a job.

There is a problem with falling birth rates, and less healthy uneducated people, but those are long term problems.
