"Do We Have A House Ni##er In Here?"

Culturally and psychologically, southern white men of his age probably have the N word consistently on the tip of their tongue, and they are in a constant struggle to keep from letting it slip out
I agree, but this was no slip.

Yeah. I am aware that black politicians get called many times, regardless of their political party. Like that senator that got called "Uncle Tom" because he suck up to the GOP.

I think it's a term that goes far beyond politicians. I will say outside of Bill Maher calling himself a house n*word, I don't know if I've ever heard a white person say it. Heard white people use the N*word, but not this.

I'm actually curious what this guy was thinking. If you're going to call someone a n*word then I assume you just call them that. House n*word has a specific meaning. Why would he use this instead of just straight up n*word? Weird.

Yeah it's weird. Why not just say "Uncle Tom"? That's less offensive.

Without knowing this guy or the Mayor the assumption seems to be he's on the right politically and the Mayor's on the left. With those dynamics why would he call him a House n*word (or even Uncle Tom)? It doesn't make sense.

no, dumbass clown, they are not similar. anyone using the N word who is white and is obviously not being facetious in any way is showing their incredible racism and lack of regard for black people in general. uncle tom is a real thing- like dumbfuck Justice Clarence Thomas. and saying you ain't black if you don't vote for ANYONE BUT TRUMP is for real, sensible and not racist at all, stupid fuck bitch.

So, N word by whites bad, N word by Blacks good!?

Good one!

you got it, pollock!! maybe not good by blacks, but neutral. do you try to be stupid or is it just a Pollock thang?

That's funny, calling me a fish.
While attempting to use prejudices against Polish people.

Polak means a Pole in male form,or Polish male.

It is about as offensive as calling a Mexican Chico.

I think 'House Nigger' is used to differentiate between the 'Field Nigger'. Usually the House Nigger is someone who willingly complies with whatever the Master decrees.

"House Negro
House Negro is a historical term for a house slave of African descent. Historically, a house Negro was a higher status than a field slave or "field Negro" who worked outdoors, often in harsh conditions, and might perform tasks for the household servants. House Negro is also used as a pejorative term to compare a contemporary black person to such a slave. Wiki"

Am I the only guy at JPP who watched 'Django'?

"The comedian Lenny Bruce shared Tarantino's infatuation. Julian Barry's Oscar-nominated screenplay for his biographical film, Lenny, has him justifying it thus: "It's the suppression of the word that gives it the power, the violence, the viciousness. If President Kennedy would just go on television and say … 'Nigger, nigger, nigger, nigger, nigger' to every nigger he saw … till nigger didn't mean anything any more, then you could never make some six-year-old black kid cry because somebody called him a nigger at school."
