DOMA Is Unconstitutional

So, is my marriage still valid? Im married to a woman, I though if they legalized gay marriage... it would destroy "normal" marriage?

damn... we're all doomed now, I guess...we'll have to all get divorced because THEY can marry.

Sigh. WHY are people so dumb? (not speaking of you, Jarod - of those who think letting gays marry will affect straight marriages)

Still remember being at a marriage equality rally ... we were holding signs on a street corner... a guy who looked like your typical small-town "red neck" stopped at the corner, looked at our signs, and said "Hell yes! gays should be just as miserable as I was in MY marriage!" pretty funny...

Well, they were wrong, I know because my "wife" just called with a list of things to bring home for dinner... So I guess Im still married.

I don't know, my wife's wedding dress just fell apart on the hanger, and my gold wedding ring tarnished.

With the Federal fight to Defend marriage having been deemed unconstitutional no marriage is safe!

I think one of my fave things yesterday was how petty & marginalized people like Bachmann & Perkins seemed when they started protesting & invoking god in their objections to the ruling.

Watching the reaction of the gay community, it was like watching people get released after decades of wrongful imprisonment. Sheer jubilation, and a true celebration of freedom & liberty. What kind of god would be against that?

Republican Jesus lovers.....you know...the ones that rail against sins like abortion and homosexuality(because those are sins that they(at least publicly) don't partake in, but ignore the sins of greed, and power brokering, because.....well....then their gravy train would slow down enough that more people could hop on, and that would mean that they'd have to share some of what was their's exclusively.

Did you notice how far away from the issue almost all mainstream Republicans wanted to stay!

They know they're on the wrong side of history. Gay marriage is just a no brainer for anyone who values liberty, and was inevitable.

I have always said that it would be legit & common in 100 years, regardless of how much of a fight reactionaries put up - just like ending slavery, or giving women the right to vote, or civil rights. Progressive ideals always win in the end. I was only off by about a century.
