Double Mormon Ticket...

To be sealed they have to become Temple LDS, the majority of the LDS don't go through the hoops to become Temple Mormons. It is a long process and involves baptizing all your dead relatives. You must tithe, o your mission and be baptized in the Temple, but the reward is you are sealed to your family and get to be together forever, god and goddess, nd the goddess gets to make spiritual babies or eternity! Doesn't hat sound fun, Darla!I didn't link to what?

Your brother, if not LDS can't be sealed, according to my understanding. They can be together forever, but they don't get to be god nd goddess.

LMAO

Oh yeah, sign me up!

Don't be deliberately obtuse, stupid doesn't look good on you and it cripples your ability to even appear as if you are trying to argue something.

He called you out on something you are calling me out about.. Dont get defensive about it, just look at yourself and improve...!

Damo knows most Mormons!

God that is stupid. I can't tell you how stupid you sound. You are a religious bigot, and spout nonsense then instead of actually learning anything you say this kind of stuff.

Please, apply some of the ability it took for you to become a lawyer and stop with this obtuse mentally disingenuous idiocy.

How am I being deliberately obtuse?

What was I misreading about your conclusion? On what else would you base saying "most Mormons"? In the context, it looked like you were basing that on your own experiences. Do you have anything else?

He tried to call me out on semantics... I'm not calling you out on semantics. I am asking you to prove your assertion with just one link.

I do know many Mormons, they are part of my family through marriage. It is my experience that among these that I know a "Sealing" is a rare circumstance. I get to know about those but not attend, because you have to be allowed into Temple to attend that. I have, however attended almost all their marriages because they rarely decide to be "Sealed"...

Yes, which is why I am curious... why did you call Damo out for something that is blatantly a part of Jarod's entire OP and subsequent responses?

Both are using anecdotal evidence (at least as far as I can tell).

Did you enroll in Yurt's night classes or something?

I based it in my experience, you are being deliberately obtuse to say that it is a claim that I know "most Mormons"...

I explained that those I have experience with rarely make a decision to be Sealed, even those where both participants are Mormons. (Sometimes they can't because one or the other is not yet allowed into Temple).

Anyway, these people that I know also talk about such things. They tell me that Sealing is rare and that most Mormons are simply Married rather than Sealed.

Hmm... sorry Onceler... looks like Damo was correct.

Seriously, your defense for religious bigotry is this? Flat idiotic. I understand your sarcasm. But must you infect every thread with stupid ad homs and nonsense rather than any intelligence whatsoever?

"My defense for religious bigotry?"

Goodness gracious. When you guys go into hyper-Romney-defense mode, you give it 110%.

Mormons are perfectly free to leave the church at any time. I've known several people who wrote letters asking that their name be removed from church records, and their request was honored. So, as usual, Jarod, you have no idea what you're talking about.

It is true that they also teach that families are sealed for eternity. However, if someone leaves the Mormon church, they are no longer a Mormon.

Yes, you can apply to have your name removed, but it requires a lenghtly process, and several members had to sue the church in order to have their names removed instead of them being excommunicated. If you don't request the removal, you are considered an LDS for life.
