Dressing like a gangsta gets man killed

As if he wasn't thuggin it with his style. He had the look! How can you doubt that he was dressed like a gangsta when that's the reason given. Are you seriously thinking it was just the hat?

When is Rana and Christiefan and Darla coming to defend the victim here....???

He can dress anywhy he wants to...its not his fault.

Are you saying it is his fault?

I don't think it's his fault but anyone who lives in a gang infested area knows there are certain colors or certain ball caps that one doesn't wear in certain areas. This man did not asked to be shot but there are things one can do as an individual to make yourself less of a target.

It was the angle his hat was on Cawacko, get freaking real. I mean, this is really stupifying. I better go smoke some more weed Maybe the posts on this thread will start to make sense.

I fully agree with him. In a gang neighborhood even being the wrong color of skin is grounds for assault. A pant leg lifted up some or making the wrong hand gesture is also bad.

Unknowingly associating yourself with a gang (even their own, if not one) can be bad news bears all around.

Yes, I am aware of that. As the article stated he wore his hat at an angle that indicated he was in a (rival) gang. Like I said that does not mean he deserved to die or was asking to die. What I did say is those who live in gang neighborhoods learn how not to dress to try and avoid those types of misidentifications. Not sure what the issue is with that statement.

Oh now all the JPP gangstas are gonna check in to tell me how it is in the hood.

It could only get funnier if Justin Beiber himself comes by to drop his "man I'm so gangsta hold me back from this eonline reporter I'm gonna cut him man I'm gonna cut him" act on me.

When I went to school in South Central we had the police do an informational meeting with all the students in my complex about the various gangs surrounding campus. They spoke about how gangs identified themselves through their clothing and which areas wore what and how to keep yourself safe. Now as a white guy I wasn't going to be suspected of being in a gang. But for the black and hispanic kids in my complex the information was very important to them.

It's stupid.

Why are you mad at me that that is how it works on the street? Go to the various buroughs in New York and tell the gang members yourself how you feel.

I'm about as far from gangster as you can get but it doesn't mean I don't know or understand the code of the streets.

That's right Grumpa. The way you dress does not give any one the right to shoot you.
