Dressing like a gangsta gets man killed

Making 'hip hop music' is certainly a 'hangable' offence. Listening to it should lead to enforced incarceration and dressing as if you either listen to it or make it or seriously refer to it as'music' should have you confined to an institiution for the mentally challenged.
Seems someone went just a bit too far here. but what do you expect in a country where guns are sold to loonies and loonies run the country?

All they've said about this kid is that he wore his hat tilted to the side. We know nothing else about him or how he dressed. We have no clue if this guy lived a thug life and dressed like a thug or was just a normal kid whose family happened to live in a gang ridden area. There are plenty of good kids who live in bad circumstances through no fault of their own and because they don't shop at Brooks Brothers means they are asking to be shot.

Without more info on this kid it's really speculation as to the lifestyle he lived.

This sounds a lot different than what you were saying last night. And as I was typing that I couldn't help thinking, I bet it's not the first time he's heard that..

anyone who enters into a neighborhood with these kinds of people is taking their life in their own hands. it is no different than getting oneself shit assed drunk to the point where people have to carry you around

Ha! Yes, in this rare instance I was actually sober last night and do remember what I wrote. :)

What I'm saying here really isn't any different from last night. (For the sake of discussion we'll leave out gang members who choose to live a lifestyle where they know they can die for the colors/clothes they wear.) No kid deserves to die for what they are wearing. That doesn't change the fact that kids that live in certain areas learn what they should and shouldn't wear to keep themselves safe(r). I have no idea if this kid was wearing his hat like he was because he thought it was fashionable or because he wanted it to represent something (like he was down with a certain group).

Most kids don't have a choice as to where they live. No one can choose their parents at birth. So it's not like these kids are saying 'I have an opportunity to live in this nice safe middle class area but I'm going to choose to live in these poverty ridden projects'.

Kids don't but parents do. But, lets twist ourselves in knots for why it isn't the parents fault either. Just more examples of gobblement failure by getting people dependent and less self sufficient. Just like the demalquedacrats like Snarla want them.

There are a good number of low income people who have immigrated here with little to nothing and are working hard to offer a better life for their children. That's the American dream.

And yes it is sad to see generation after generation in some familes mired in poverty.
