Growing up in Oakland we used to have the Pimp of the Year contest held locally.

When I was in school calling someone a pimp was a compliment. Too Short labeled one of his albums Shorty the Pimp

Okay, I will take your word for the context of Pimp in your Oakland hood.

I have never known Pimp to be a compliment among my peers, family, friends, and colleagues.

And I am sure as shit am that "Pimp" is not thought of as complimentary to the Rightwing's elderly, socially conservative, rural white base of support.

My real belief is Trump's comment about killing drug dealers is beyond stupid that it hurts the brain. As President you don't make that kind of statement, you just don't. (drug dealers are selling poison to our communities but that's because we choose not to legalize drugs and there is demand for the product). As someone else stated it would also have to include killing heads of big pharma companies.

If we want to be real, there are more white drug dealers than any other race or ethnicity in this country. What TTQ64 will call racist, but is fact, is that more P.O.C. deal on street corners in lower income neighborhoods. The white drug dealers in middle class and upper income neighborhoods aren't selling on the street. You have very few turf war murders in higher income communities. That's really neither here nor there regarding Trump's statement but it's just reality.

I've lived most of my life in an urban area so I am definitely not hip to rural speak. There are also rural Democrats however just because one is a Democrat doesn't mean they are supportive of drug dealers. For example ask BAC and Christiefan their opinions of drug dealers. They've shared it before on here. They didn't say what Trump said but they weren't complimentary.

Throughout American history we have always been wrong about how to handle the drug problem. Now we have a far worse problem than the old days of weed. Doctors over prescribed pain killers. It was easy, easy big money. the drug companies paid doctors off to keep doing it. Then when we finally recognized the damage we we were doing, we made doctors stop giving them after awhile. But the patients were addicted. They discovered they could satisfy their needs with crack and heroin. This mess was created by doctors and Pharm. They should pay for the treatment facilities.

How many black men did "Just Say No" send to jail? None, it wasn't policy. But Clinton's crime bill was policy and sent more black men to prison than any other legislation.
