This isn't the first time there's been a huge bias on your part in the application of rule enforcement. The ignore feature has a "view ignored content" link. If you click that you can read the person's post and even reply to them. This is how ignore works on this software and both of you can do that. It just will not notify them that you have responded, which was the reason for the forced ignore in the first place. Should you want me to, I am sure I can purchase or write a modification to the system that will not allow you to use the "view ignored content" links entirely. But I figure you were simply complaining because you thought it was magic that you couldn't perform.

As for "why didn't you go there?" I didn't because I figure folks will be able to read and learn, also they will note your responses and make reasonable conclusions about the level of "panic" you presented once you found out the cause.
