The ignore feature has a "view ignored content" link. If you click that you can read the person's post and even reply to them. This is how ignore works on this software and both of you can do that. It just will not notify them that you have responded, which was the reason for the forced ignore in the first place. Should you want me to, I am sure I can purchase or write a modification to the system that will not allow you to use the "view ignored content" links entirely. But I figure you were simply complaining because you thought it was magic that you couldn't perform.

As for "why didn't you go there?" I didn't because I figure folks will be able to read and learn, also they will note your responses and make reasonable conclusions about the level of "panic" you presented once you found out the cause.

Because, you were complaining about him, he was complaining about you, and instead of writing a rule I fixed the problem of notifications.

Since you continue to want to do this in public.

You were the cause of your own forced ignore, you wouldn't stop trying to find ways to use the site's features to annoy someone you didn't like. Instead of acting like an adult you started bumping threads and counting how many were there...

At some point the easiest solution was to stop you from seeing the threads that bothered you so much, and if I was going to force you to ignore him I was going to make it mutual. So.... I did.

It worked. Both of you got to ignore each other, notifications stopped, if you wanted you could see the other's post and reply (apparently) but neither of you would get a notification of it and my notifications stopped being filled with this junior high drama. Life could go back to normal, and you could still see and reply if you wanted that anti-validation so badly.

Anyway, if it is that much of a problem to you I will spend some of my hard earned cash to buy some modification that will make it so that is no longer an option and it will take more work to reply... (something like creating a second account, finding a post from you, copy/pasting the "reply to" quote into doc, logging back in to your normal account pasting it into the thread reply box, then finally actually typing a reply)...

Anyway, no system is perfect, even one that doesn't let you click on a link to see his messages... but if I have to in order to make you shut up, I will.

I didn't complain about Lesion. Calling him a spineless and a liar isn't complaining, it's stating fact.

I explained nothing to anyone. We had threads about whether or not I was going to have to write a rule, then I realized I could simply use the site's functions to solve my problem. I figured I would hear a complaint if it was that large of a deal. I had none. It was blissful silence. Until you suddenly thought that Diogenes performed a magic spell and done something you could not...

Then when you found out that both of you had the same capability you wanted to still be a victim.

Your own actions, yours. This was you. I was going to write a rule and have to start enforcing things... but then I realized that this site had a force ignore feature already with it and I used it. I'm going to keep using it.
