EV drivers struggle to find charging stations

I'm not speaking for everyone. I made the comment about my own situation. Oh, I almost forgot... I have two smaller compressors for use with airbrushes...

What post did you think you were responding to? Or were you just feel like telling us all about your compressors?

My eyes do not fall off when I go someplace. There are charging stations in innumerable places, like malls, restaurants parking structures, restaurants, parking lots, municipal bldgs, and schools. Never saw a line. However, my son does charge when he goes out. He tops off at places. You are wrong as usual.
You are an example of someone who speaks of what he knows nothing about, pretending the knowledge that you demonstrate is lacking. That is a credentials fallacy.

I suggest you stay out of the country with his EV, the only charging station I know of anywhere close to me is at car dealerships. I don't know if they are on after hours or not.
BTW, do they charge by the hour on those charging stations you speak of? Do you insert cash or does it take credit cards?

The truth is it's easier to find a charging station than it is to find a place to air up your tires yourself, as most of them either had the hose cut off- or they eat your quarters then don't work.

And most people are more frustrated about that!

So first things first man!

And, if you don't have an EV, stop bitching about things that don't even concern you Mr. BITCHY BODY SNOOTY TOOT!

Just showing how libewrals can't run anything correctly. It will be a fiasco that will do great harm to this country

Again Type in charging stations near me on your phone. They will pop up on the screen. Of course, they take credit cards. Yeah if you live way out in the country an EV may not suit you. They offer only 250 to 300 mile range. There are some BFE places that they may not be suitable for. Of course, that is for today. Battery range gets longer over and over. There are no hours. You drive up and plug in whenever you choose to.

They have car dealerships waaaaay out there in the boonies??? Cool!

I don't know if they are on after hours or not.

But you probably don't have "clocks" way out there either, so it's all good!

Guess you'll have to learn more about EV's before critiquing them, won't ya?

That is not how the ICE nuts act. They just say whatever comes to their alleged minds. I treat them with way too much respect. They are playing around.

So you charge for free? Who pays the electric bill?

No, penis brain, they reside in the small towns nearby. DUH!

Nope. We can tell what time it is by the position of the sun.
Inbred city trash like you need a clock to tell when the sun goes down.

Nope. I have no plans to waste my money on a fucking Barbie doll toy car.

I have portable ones. For the reasons that I laid out!

Why does everybody take things so personal around here?

Exactly. Everyone should own a small compressor if they own bicycles, cars, or other things that have pneumatic tires. A small one for filling tires is not that expensive to purchase. I'm damn glad I have several because the wife and grandkids always want big pool floats inflated. Imagine doing that by breathing into them...

I live in a small town and there's quite a few charging stations around me. Huh.

LOL. I grew up in a small rural Illinois farmtown and I currently live in a small rural town out west here. :)

I can out-accelerate anything you have on your farm. Sorry to break it to you but these motors are wicked.

I have those, and I would think that most people do, BUT THEY DON'T!

Because people keep asking to borrow mine.

I also built one of these for when I go RV'ing......

I , of course, have a Ryobi battery-operated inflator.

No charging stations that I've seen here, other than at car dealerships, but then I don't go looking for them. Maybe one of the Sheets has them (that's where I saw one when my friend and I went to the Lotus dealer to pick up his Porsche), but again, I haven't seen any at the ones near me. I live outside of a small town, lots of fields and woodlands here, although they are building townhouses and developments, which is why I want to move.

I won't argue they are quick, torque is a better indication than horsepower of a engine's performance, and electric motors have gobs of torque. I know this. Maybe your electric car can beat my ICE, but when I crack the throttle, my car roars, it doesn't buzz. That's good enough for me.
But there's nothing better than (in the automotive world) the sound of a big block ICE with a nice cam.

You have a Lotus/Porsche dealership in your town but you don't think there are charging stations for EV's?

That's strange.

Honestly EV's are not for every possible use. Just like my old Saturn wasn't for the same use as a pick up truck. I don't know why people feel that they have to be the same thing. And EV's are resurging, the technology is improving and will ultimately supplant a lot of vehicles. Probably not all, but a lot would be a significant improvement.

My feeling is EV's should be allowed to grow and do what the market does. Sure there are benefits to the environment especially for the huge mass of people on earth who DON'T need a giant truck. And the subsidies that are given for this transition are nothing compared to the massive subsidies given to petroleum companies who are supposedly "profitable".

All I know is that I've driven around town for 3 years now without paying for any fuel. I charge on my solar PV at home overnight once every couple weeks, get 300 miles on a full charge. It has almost no maintenance. It's a real winner for me so far.

Is it perfect? Nope. But it's getting a lot better than my first EV which was a small Smart electric with almost no range. Now I have range and fueling is free.
