EV drivers struggle to find charging stations

I can out-accelerate anything you have there at you "compound" (and yeah, you seem like the kind of person who has "compound")

I'm not contradicting you, but I'd be genuinely interested to know if you could actually out-accelerate my neck-snapping [pre-head restraint] Corvette.
It's hand-built custom engine exceeds 500 horsepower., whether or not that's relevant.

If so, good for electric cars!
I knew they'd be ok, but I didn't think that they'd be that ok.
Or that they needed to be.

One assumes so, but I don't know the limits on a Corvette. The key is that, as I understand it, there is no gearing and so the acceleration on ALL EV's is crazy fast. So fast that years ago when they were trialing some EV taxi cabs in London the cabbies (who are no slouches when it comes to acceleration) wound up rear-ending more people with the EV than the ICE vehicles because they weren't used to the acceleration.

I never utilize the super acceleration myself, I tend to drive like an old lady. But I know it's there and it is worth an experience or two.

We were test driving a Tesla years ago and the salesman told my wife to really TROMP on the accelerator and it was unreal! I've never literally had my head pulled back in a car but that did it.

You drive a rollerskate and your 0-60 time is equivalent to that of a mid level SUV. Don't drag for titles.

I mentioned that I intend to drive over to White Sands NM and Holloman AFB for some research on a book I'm doing on early guided missiles. I've been thinking I might like to drive back home via the "scenic" route via NM 380 and US 60. That route is like 500+ miles, much of it over mountainous roads (you climb over the Rocky Mountain range and then descend into the Salt River canyon and out into the Mogollon rim). There isn't a single charging station that I can find anywhere along that route. There are lots of really neat things along it too in terms of views, like this:

The first time I drove past the VLA outside of Datil, a cowboy on a horse was herding cattle across the highway...

Of course, if you have an EV, you can't do that tour in your car unless you want to spend days charging it every 200 or less miles after climbing and going through all the twisting two-lane roads you're driving on. OTOH, I can carry an extra 5 gallons of gas easily, along with chains and having 4 wheel drive so if it snows I'm not stuck in it.

There are places that do not have charging stations yet. I am glad you finally got that message. If you live out in BFE an EV may not suit you. EVs get very good traction.
