Masks can block a percentage of droplets (varies by type and usage) so not totally useless.
More significant would be what percentage of people become sick from waterborne cooties. Nobody knows or if they did would be unlikely to say as its pretty small.

That does not stop a virus. Airborne viruses do not stay in the droplets. You cannot catch a disease from a healthy person. Making everyone wear a mask when 99.97% of the people are not contagious is ridiculous.

Masks do not stop a contagious person from spreading a virus. Not one bit. Masks do not stop you from breathing in a virus, not one bit. They are utterly useless.
