Excuse me, are we going to say the pledge of allegiance?

Rev. Wright is Black Liberation Theology, not Christian Socialist. The people who were called Christian Socialist in the day of Francis Bellamy (1855-1931), were much more akin to Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson, but with the compassion of George W. Bush. Not that any of this has anything to do with the Pledge of Allegiance, he just happened to be a good writer and composed something great. I don't think I can hold his personal political philosophy against him, because that would be outright bigoted prejudice. If you want to judge his works based on a preconceived notion of his political views, that's up to you, it's typical of bigoted asshole liberals, they do this all the time. Take Juan Williams for example... devoutly liberal, carrying the water for the liberals everyday, but since he gets a paycheck from Fox News on the side, you people had to persecute him over something really silly, and act like he denounced Leninism or something! It's just the typical behavior of hypocrite bigot pinheads!

What is really NOT funny; Reverend Wright was slandered using sound bites and edited snippets that gave no context. It was edited for one intent. To slander and destroy a man that has done more for people than ANY of the right wing scum bags that slandered him, and to destroy Barrack Obama.

BUT...People that listened to Wright's whole 9/11 sermon, 'America's chickens are coming home top roost' find it is a very Christian message, and a message EVERY minster, priest and rabbi should have preached after 9/11. Wright called for self examination, and warned about people of faith moving from the hatred of armed enemies to the hatred of unarmed innocence.

And he was right. We invaded Iraq and thousands of innocent human being were slaughtered. But, the innocent Iraqis that were annihilated sure LOOKED like the people that attacked us.

Wright is a racist bigot and anti-American moron.....
God bless Rev. Wright?.....No...God damn Rev. Wright.....

LMFAO... Pinheaded League of Women Voters idiot tries to deny people the right to say the pledge of allegiance and gets her 'authority' thwarted!

YouTube - League of Women Voters Try to Stop Pledge of Allegiance at Debate

What the fuck does she mean, she has "nothing for or against" the pledge? How can you have something AGAINST the pledge of allegiance? PINHEAD!

And who the fuck do you think you are, telling people they are "absolutely not" going to say the pledge, and then attempting to scold them like a school teacher when they do it anyway?
Apparently it had not been done at past debated and this is what she was trying to say before the audience decided go ahead with it.

I have been to a lot of public forums where the pledge is not recited!

I think this was a set up by this guy and his group!

How can you have something AGAINST the pledge of allegiance? PINHEAD!

Some people don't want to recite a pledge authored by a socialist...PINHEAD!

Ubber Super Patriot, always needing to say the pledge, like they have something to prove!

Do you have a problem reciting the pledge, Bfoon?
I have a problem with Nationalism! If I don't want to recite the pledge, what does that prove, exactly? What if it is against my religion? What if I don't say, under God? Curb stomping for me?

Great responses Rana, I am extremely glad you went on record thoroughly denouncing your patriotism. I wish more of you socialist communist liberals would do the same! Let America know exactly where you stand on this, because I bet most of them agree with you and hate America just as much.

Yeah, that is exactly what I did...the Pledge is not a real show of Patriotism, I am sorry. There are many more convincing and real ways to show that I love America, I am not a nationalist and never will be. I won't follow blindly and I don't think I have to prove repeatedly that I care for my country, but I am not going to be zealous about it, sorry! Nationalism leads to things in history like the Nazi gas chambers.

I don't need fringers like you to tell me how to act. I don't need to march around in my front yard like you dressed in the flag. I am not an America right or wrong Bircher like yourself, I like to think!

Yeah, that's right... let all that hate and anger out dear, I know you'd rather be living in Paris or London. You people do indeed find real and convincing ways to show your "love" for America, like going around the world apologizing for America, and protesting wars while our soldiers are in harms way, leaking sensitive defense documents and such. Have you burned a flag lately? Hey... make sure some liberal isn't wrapped in it when you do, okay?

Anti-nationalism leads to immoral scum like you, thinking you can tell everyone else how to act, and what is and isn't patriotic. Blind? Yeah, you're blind alright, turds like you are about to be flushed, and you don't even see it coming.

I don't say the pledge. It strikes me as so Fatherlandish. It's rare that I am in that situation, but I was this year twice. Once at a Mets Game, and once at a fancy business luncheon event. I just don't do it.

so you make up words to describe your aversion to authority? Just come and say that you loathe nationalism like a clever socialist would do. Stop being so lame.

Wow - how hilarious that Dixie, tinfoil & Ice Dancer all think nationalism = patriotism.

Once again, can we please get a higher quality of conservative poster on this board? That nationalism/patriotism question can be added to the qualifying test....

Oversight, is the pledge always recited at debates? None that I have ever been to? How odd...

I really doubt that it was...and I agree with you that this was set up, whether by the candidate or by some of his supporters in the audience. I just get tickled when something like this causes so much of a stir. That the ones who set it up (as I think they did) thought it would be so awesome and create a "gotcha" moment and that those who would oppose it are so adamently against it. With so much that needs to be addressed by our politicians and eventual leaders, I can only laugh when something like this happens.

I hope I see some fucking libtard refusing to say the pledge. I will beat them to within one inch of their worthless lives and make them beg to say it. I will curb stomp them just like Rand Paul's guy did. That guy started something. Curb stomp a libtard, save an American Flag.

How sad it is that libtards all think patriotism = nationalism.

So did Hitler...

Not really, Bfoon. Hitler was always a Nationalist.

Educate yourself!

Nationalism involves a strong sex drive of a group of indviduals with a political entity defined in national terms, i.e. a nation. Often, it is the belief that an ethnic group has a right to statehood, or that citizenship in a state should be limited to one ethnic group, or that multinationality in a single state should necessarily comprise the right to express and exercise national identity even by minorities.

I'm sorry Dixie, I don't want you to be upset. I defend your right to express your collectivism and devout statism.

First off the guy that wrote the pledge didn't include "under god" in the pledge. I don't care if people do say it, and I will stand while they do, or when they sing the anthem, but I don't talk or sing or pledge to a piece of cloth. If you wanna change it and have us recite an oath to the constitution I will do every time. I have said that oath as a soldier and when I was sworn in as an attorney. It is an oath that I am proud to recite. We Americans have a wierd view of the flag. Our founders did not have this view of the flag. It was a way to identify us, mostly in battle.

It is funny to watch as many on the left mock the nationalism of the pledge. Those very same people will sit here day after day ranting about 'out-sourcing jobs'.

And that's why you are a socheaded liberal. I'm glad you people have finally become more open and honest with others about how much you hate America. It was really getting frustrating to listen to you hate in one breath, and profess your love in another. I know you guys feel better not having to live the lie anymore, don't you?
