Explaining women in combat arms

Oh please, you throw this crop out there for public consumption like an old lady gossiping after church. And you keep desperately hoping someone will agree with you or believe you.

Jesus, that's rich when I think of all the times you carried on talking to Legion despite being told that you were just feeding the troll. Here is the deal, I will not respond to anything you say further on this subject.

As I said, I don't know or care about the AOL crap. But I do remember when the harpies arrived. Darla pm'd me that they had followed her here. She said little or nothing to them until after they started bring up all sorts of crap from the AOL board and spreading all sorts of vile crap about Darla around.

They came here looking for her and they brought the shit up. That Darla shot back is not surprising. But don't make it sound as though she is equally guilty for all that crap.

Which leads to the question of: Why would she PM you that the had "followed her here"; unless it was to make a pre-emptive strike and make sure that you viewed her BS as favorable.

You know not of what you speak.

Yeah, I responded on threads that interested me. At the timne the board was boring as hell. I should avoid entertainment because someone else wants me to avoid him? Not happening.

She and I, as I recall, were discussing another topic in private. Pre-emptive? She didn't make the first strike, Ice did.

No, I don't know about all the AOL shit and I don't care. It all should have stayed on AOL.

Well that raises an interesting point. Say your average 18 year old enlists. The kid has all kinds of friends... gay, straight, female, male, black, white etc. The kid doesn't have any preconceived notions about people (work with this).

At what point in basic is the kid indoctrinated that lifting DADT was a bad idea, or that there are certain jobs women shouldn't do?

Honestly its not about indoctrination. My views on the matter of DADT as well as women in combat arms MOS's were not indoctrinated in me by the institution.

My feelings about it are born from experience and an understanding of how best to instill discipline and cohesion, as well as understanding the physical aspects of training. A new recruit has no idea of this one way or the other going in. Its not until you are actually charged with carrying it out do you have a true appreciation for any of these matters.

There isnt an anti-female military approach. Over time as you deploy or go to the field or in your basic every day interactions you "learn" your opinion of females and their military capabilities by being around them. It isnt a broad stroke, and there are exceptions, but my experience and interaction with the majority of females in the Marine Corps has not been positive from a training and operational point of view. This has nothing to do with them as people. But in the military you learn to recognize ability and willingness quickly just in terms of being tools for the defense, which is strictly viewing those individuals as military assets, and to be honest females are just not anywhere close to being on the same level in my experience. Not all of them, but a vast majority of them.

What will most likely happen is that new recruit wont really care until an opportunity is given to a woman and he knows that he is more qualified, that he is stronger, faster, more disciplined, more trustworthy, and has better leadership qualities, he is just a better military asset than she is for the position... and this will cause further cohesion problems as the "numbers" need to be met. I hope it doesnt get that way, but i cant see an 19 yr old girl weighing 120 lbs who can do 4 pullups and run a 25 minute 3 mile, doing a better job than a 19 yr old young man weighing 185 lbs, can do 20 pullups and run an 18:30 3 mile, fulfilling an infantry billet on an even scale. Something will have to give in order for her to be competitive for promotion.... This isnt even touching the scenario where HE is wounded and now SHE is being depended upon to carry him to aid...

The more time they are in, and the more experiences they come across, what IS becomes more and more apparent. Theres no real need to indoctrinate the obvious.

It's obvious.

Its not an emotional experience for me. I dont "hate" women any more than the society that says that we need to split the genders in physical sport competitions. I dont think that pro boxing hates women because they dont pit a female against a male in a boxing match. I dont think the olympics hate women because they separate events between males and females. I think at some stage any reasonable person understands theres differences in the sexes and those differences can be quite stark.

As far as my experience with military assets, maybe female Marines arent the best ones to go by. While I was deployed a team of female EOD techs from the Air Force were imbedded with us and both of them were very professional and they dismantled a shit load of explosive devices for us.

As i said, there are exceptions. However... as professional as those two EOD techs were, im not sure even they, could have succeeded as infantryman....

Just reality.

It's obvious.

Is this an example of your superior debating skills? No wonder you wouldn't submit yourself for fear of being exposed as an empty vessel, which as we all know make the most noise. I haven't seen anybody refute his arguments yet prefering tinstead to indulge in ad homs for the most part.

Yes, Brityurt.

Like I really believe that she just mentioned it.

You and I are looking at this from the standpoint of what is best for the military. The supporters are not. In fact they could care less. They are looking at this solely from the perspective of a woman getting a promotion, which is a complete crock as there are female generals.

But, this just goes to prove as I have said for years, that the left wingers will never stop. When they wanted women in the military, they said, "Oh no, we don't want women in combat, we just want them to serve".

It is just another great institution that the left has, over time, torn down.

Like I really believe that she just mentioned it.

I wasn't aware of all the crap on the AOL site. I was very aware of what was going on here. When Ice joined this forum Darla and I were talking about something in pm. She told me that she and Ice had a history and that they followed her here. Shortly after that Ice made some rather crude comments towards Darla.

And yet; you've said you didn't follow EVERYTHING that was occuring on here (ie: every post), so how do you know that Ice was the one to "start" this?

Oh STFU who cares? do you ever post anything that has anything to do with politics you useless troll?

Guess what? They were both permabanned on a board that is notoriously difficult to get banned from.
