As with everything else in the news,
facts are totally irrelevant to this story.
We'll choose to believe whatever produces the end result that we want.
As always in modern America, we've zero consensus in
what we believe,
about what we care,
and what results we want.
I personally believe that the left is more aware of this
because the right tends to live in more of a like-minded bubble
and believes that the left is a small fringe
rather than at least half of the country.
I just explained it.
People will only believe what supports their point of view.
Further, even if we believe things that don't support our point of view,
we won't care.
We both believe different things and we care about different things.
And we certainly want different results.
These are all characteristics of a seriously divided nation.
Americans are NOT all the same,
and usually,
the "other side"
is much bigger than any of us wants to believe.
