Some Texas National Guard soldiers deployed to Chicago have been sent home for failing to meet fitness standards after an ABC News photo of heavyset troops went viral.

"A small group" of the 200 National Guard soldiers sent to Illinois last week have been replaced for not being "in compliance" with its validation process, the Texas Military Department confirmed to military news site Task & Purpose over the weekend.

Why they aren’t doing anything
 
Experts have for a couple of decades been screaming warnings about how the unhealthfulness of the American people impacts national security....and the weight problem is just a part of it.

That's a nationwide problem. People weren't fat like that when I was growing up, most of us aren't now, much.
I think it's that processed food. When I was growing up, maybe 1 out of 8 kids were fat, and it was natural for them.
Now Americans are looking like fattened up Smithfield sows n like that. That's not good. :nono: :(
Part of it's them damn phones. I have a fat friend to this day, always been fat, but he could do everything.
He didn't eat teh processed foods, it's genetic with that cracker.
It's different now.

That and they sit in front of their computers constantly.
I constantly had a baseball bat and/or glove and/or ball in my hand after school and all summer.
Have you noticed how empty ball fields are these days?

I was riding around the neighborhood trying to get a pickup baseball game going n stuff.
We did it, too, sometimes. Got a little older and we'd plan it during the week in school.
They invited me to watch a game not so many years ago. Same ol' boys out there playin'.
I knew everybody on the team. It went sideways when a fight broke out. Our stands kinda hurt the other team's people. Oops.
It was kinda understandable, but a dude went too far.
Yeah, that's what stopped that. That and getting old.
I went to a few of 'em and it was a good time, then the fight thing happened and uhh..I don't wanna be showin' my face around there and questions asked of me. Naw, I don't know who did that. :x
I did, and that's why I didn't go anymore.

Allot of people today ignore Freud because of his theories on sexuality, and how he believed it central to human psychology. He thought our mating instincts were key to understanding People...

But consider our modern situation with LGBTQ+ rights, Trans, rule-by-faux-peccadillo-accusation, the Presidential Admin crippled by fake trials for baseless and completely, obviously, false accusations of rape.

Maybe Freud wasn't so wrong in his models of the human psyche being very heavily influenced by our instinctive mating behavior!

Consider an American soldier, he just WON a war against mortal, powerful, foreign nation, using Nukes, Lasers, Railguns, Radar, Jamming, computer command control, ... all this sophisticated tech stuff... yet some of those soldiers will take mortal hits...

And as they lay dying, many of them, in their last moments of pain and fear, will call out for their "Mommies".

That's just being human.

If you want to under stand Humans, you need a model and understanding of Psychoanalysis.

Freud wasn't wrong is assuming sexuality, and motherhood are fundamental parts of the developing human psychology.

It is a good book. If you read it, you will better understand the formation of Americans who turn into Domestic Terrorists.

Texas National Guard?

The US military has a hard time finding physically fit recruits from the southern states, where obesity is an epidemic.
 
Operation Dessert Storm has officially begun. The 82nd Chairborne has boots on the ground, with support from the Marinara Corps, Meal Team 6, and the National Lard. Let's hope this doesn't turn into another Battle of the Bulge. Semper Pie!
