How about JFK going forward? Most of us either weren’t around for them or too young to remember.

I have always been a JFK fan...but he just was not my favorite. Both FDR and Harry Truman were better presidents. We do owe JFK one thing no other president can claim. JFK was the reason James Bond became a huge thing. He started the entire James Bond era with one off-hand remark about his favorite author, Ian Fleming.

I'm a little younger than Frank, and because FDR didn't get to finish his last term,
I wasn't alive during his presidency. Otherwise, he would be my choice among Ds.

As it is, I'm leaning toward Obama.
He was more conservative than I,
but he was competent and comported himself with probity, rectitude, and dignity.

On the R side, I have to agree with Eisenhower.
Ford and Bush I were semi-tolerable.

Nixon, Reagan, Bush II, and Pigshit were/are horrific.
