FBI seizes Scott Perry's cell phone

 :rofl2:

You're unintentionally funny sometimes. In case you didn't notice, "the government" is made up of -- wait for it! -- politicians and ppl appointed/hired by politicians! Amazing, isn't it?
Add to that the fact that trump cleaned house once/month in a quest to put together the most incompetent cabinet in history

What has our government done that makes you think it’s betrayed you?

Not giving him an early retirement on the taxpayer's dime? Oh wait. He claims to be "retired" at age 60, with multiple physical ailments. Hmm. Bet he's retired on your dime, and mine too, eh?

Now it is
Even under Trump and Obama it was independent. What’s controlled is who is appointed the AG. Trump had to keep going AG shopping because they kept refusing to do illegal things for Trump. Bill Barr addressed this in his testimony.

Loretta decided there wasn’t enough evidence to charge and convict Hillary. Compare that to Garland’s “no one is above the law”.

The agents themselves are a different story; the infamous “Deep State” all the conspiracy nutjobs and pedophiles keep talking about. Now, as we see some posted, they want to kill or eliminate the FBI because they won’t stop doing their duty.

A judge was convinced that there was probable cause to believe evidence of a crime was present onPerry’s phone. That’s how this works. I wonder why they have such a hard time with the concept. I guess the stupid is stronger than I thought.
One would believe that the NSA already has the info?

Correct and agreed. Unlike those spreading hate and murder, I earned my retirement money.

Disagree about trump. In his case, it was who the DOJ DIDN'T go after.

At least, once Barr showed up

Such as?

If there are crimes, and the statute of limitations hasn’t run out, what’s stopping Garland’s DOJ?

There was this over the illegal census tampering.

Barr pressured DOJ to drop all charges against Flynn.

Those are two that I remember without digging.

Why can't Garland bring them back up? It appears Barr was hiding behind Executive Privilege, a debatable legal point. That doesn't make him a criminal....which may explain why Garland isn't filing charges.

What possible reason does the FBI have to track down a member of Congress while traveling with his family on personal time, then demand he turn over to them his personal cellphone? They could have contacted his office or lawyer and requested this, but instead tracked him down and took it from him at a hotel.

That's the stuff of Third World petty dictatorships and corrupt governments who want to intimidate their political opponents.

Seriously? Because they expect he would erase the contents if notified. Just like they confronted John Eastman in Santa Fe and took his phone.

What exact contents are they so concerned about? There's also the issue here of the executive branch using law enforcement to go after the legislative branch... Eastman isn't a member of Congress.

No. Eastman wrote the memo for Trump to circulate. They could set up their own slate of electors. Also, that rejecting the official Electoral College vote would at least delay certifying the election.
