Putin did something interesting his entire career. Whenever he replaced someone, he always defended the person he replaced. That cost him in the immediate sense, but everyone saw that he was a good person to have replace them. So when Yeltsin needed to retire, he got Putin to replace him, knowing Putin would defend Yeltsin.

What Putin desperately needs is a Putin to replace him... Sadly there is no other Putin waiting in the wings. It is the great irony of Putin.

Also probably why Putin has destroyed any incipient and developing democratic institutions in Russia.

There was always a chance an independent judiciary in a democratic Russia would have indicted Putin after he left office for his massive and quite obvious theft of public funds.
 
I think that the judge and DA knew Trump’s case will be appealed and overturned.

They were trying to influence the election…election interference.

This should be looked at after the 20th.
