Tennessee mayor on FEMA attacks post-Helene: ‘Quit spreading those rumors’​


Mayor Glenn Jacobs (R), who serves Knox County, Tenn., signaled in a post online that the attacks on the administration could make recovery efforts more difficult.

“To my knowledge, FEMA, TEMA, nor anyone else is confiscating supplies,” Jacobs, a former professional wrestler, wrote Friday in a post on social platform X. “Please quit spreading those rumors as they are counterproductive to response efforts.”

“If everyone could maybe please put aside the hate for a bit and pitch in to help, that would be great,” he added.

The message comes days after allegations were floated that FEMA does not have enough money to provide disaster assistance, is stealing cash donations from survivors and has turned away volunteers.

It also follows skepticism from former President Trump around the Biden administration’s response to the deadly storm, when he claimed FEMA would use hurricane funds on migrants.

It was a TikTok video on X. For all we know, it's the same lady.

It's a different budget. Remember when Trump switched funds from DHS to build more cages and more courts at the border? The whole separating parents from their kids without keeping track of who is who? How many kids died during that fiasco?

Trump projects a lot. He claims people are stealing the election when he is the one who tried to steal the election. Trump claims the government is being weaponized against him when it was he who tried to weaponize the government against people he disliked. He claims Biden is misusing FEMA funds when it was Trump who did it.

Personally, I don't trust liars, pedophiles, chronic adulterers and, most especially, oath-breaking traitors.

An HHS official reported that of the 102 children, 38 had been returned to their families by Tuesday evening, and that more reunions were to continue "throughout the night".[238] The administration gave reasons why the remaining 64 children were not united by the deadline. According to the administration, in one case, parent and child may both be US citizens.[239]
