One can extrapolate from your post that a not guilty verdict means the jury decided no crime took place at all. You have to purposefully cripple your mind to believe such nonsense, yet it was what you wrote. And yeah, believe me if some republican said that I would tell them the same thing. It's just that simple. Not "partisan" just pointing out crippling self-delusion.
With Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman we knew that a crime occurred and we're looking for the perpetrator. They were murdered and the only question was who done it. Here, we know that these guys and Kenneth Gladney were involved in an altercation, the issue wasn't who beat up Kenneth Gladney but whether Gladney was actually assaulted by these two guys or instead initiated the confrontation. So no, you can't rally extrapolate your comment from Zappa's.

The trial being discussed in this thread had IT'S OWN JURY.
Two DIFFERENT TRIALS...TWO DIFFERENT juries...
That both juries reached the same verdict is merely random chance.

You'll only receive the chris spin in answer...so I'll answer: Jury's are not always correct but I believe that has more to do with the following: judges sometimes make bad rulings; prosecutors try to reach too far; defense attorneys can be lazy...jury's are left with the end result of imperfect trials. They are then given instructions that test their conscience, in order to render with moral certainty, a judgement colored by their own imperfect intellect.
