They needed to be able to pass due diligence, which is something that Biden was an expert in. And most importantly, they needed the investigation into themselves to be reopened, which it was. The investigation being dropped was destroying their company, because it meant they were frozen out of the Western financial markets.

Joe got the original prosecutor fired because he WAS ALREADY or WAS ABOUT TO investigate the company.
