For Folks Who Donated to Ron Paul

Let me make sure I understand this. Ron Paul raized about $5 million this quarter, right?

The guy hasn't spent nearly a dime of anything he's gotten throughout the entire campaign because he doesn't believe in it or something. I don't know. Maybe the Constitution doesn't say specifically that Ron Paul can spend money on his campaign.

So the question is: Why the hell would you give money to a campaign that isn't going to spend it? String has given some $2000, he said.

When he drops out, as everyone over the age of 6 months knows he's going to do, that money gets transfered to something else.

He's running against a millionaire in his own district, perhaps this was his clever way of funding his congressional race.

Good point, Ron Paul is very fiscally responsible with other people's money entrusted to him. Shows what kind of president he would make.
Thanks, ib1!

I feel like a cheapskate now with Rstring giving $2k. My roommate and I only gave $250 each, but I put in a lot of volunteer time. Maybe President Paul with forgive my failings.

The Church of Paul demands a 15 percent tithe.

Wow only 15%? I'll do it.

The government usually takes 24. :)

Cept the government gives you roads and schools and protects you from the Russian. Ron Paul is going to lose the nomination and use your money for his next congressional run, which more than likely wont effect you at all.

It would devastate me emotionally if Ron Paul lost his congressional seat.

I would pay $20k before I watched that happen.

Bring it. Let's have a pissing contest.

He ran unopposed last time though, so good luck.

No, that was in 2004.

But he DID win in 2006 by a 60% margin, with a Libertarian and Democrat opposing him, and in a district that was redrawn by the Republican congress of Texas to be extremely unfavorable towards him. He was also outspent, and the opposing candidate was much flashier and didn't have that 70 year old droop in his eyes.

He's pretty much invulnerable to defeat.

No, so far a thousand. It'll be 2300 before it's all over. I am sure he will spend when he thinks the time is right to spend.

He'll probably spend your $2300 on a bottle of fine bubbly for his defeat party after he loses the nomination by a landslide.

I seriously doubt it. This is the guy that gives back money that he is granted for staff. You are just talking shit.

Yes. I am talking shit. But he can't exactly give you your money back the way he does with his congressional budget allowance.

But he could spend his congressional budget on unneeded crap, just like Edwards would. Your boy is the one using a poverty org as a front for his Pres run, take trips and get policy brieifings on matters that have no connection to poverty.
