Ron Paul is my boy now. I cant wait to get rid of this blasted counterfeit currency and get one of those shiny new gold coins with the likeness of Saint Paul on it.
Another Convert to the unblemished and incontestable reality of President Ron Paul in 2008!Ron Paul is my boy now. I cant wait to get rid of this blasted counterfeit currency and get one of those shiny new gold coins with the likeness of Saint Paul on it.
Think of how safe all those gold bars in Knox would be if we just melted them into a giant statue of Ron Paul and replaced the statue of Liberty with it? Nobody could walk away with that thing. The glint of the sun off of it would probably even sink ships full of immigrants too. Poetic.
We could use all these counterfeit bills to fuel a continuously burning line of paper on the border to discourage crossings from Mexico and Canada. We've probably got enough of that counterfeit stuff to burn the borders for about 100 years.
Okay, I am down with the big gold statue of Paul. But I think you have me mixed up with some anti immigration nut. Or for that matter Paul. Paul's position is a little more complex than that.
I mention the immigration thing because he said he'd vote for Tancrado if he doesn't get the nomination. The two of them are good buddies, you see.
Source?
Cool! Maybe I'll get to meet him!I mention the immigration thing because he said he'd vote for Tancrado if he doesn't get the nomination. The two of them are good buddies, you see.
Personally, the first thing I would do to solve the illegal immigration problem, is make it easier for them to legally immigrate.
I agree with Paul, that we should get rid of the perverse incentives (welfare programs). Also, the birthright citizenship is a good point. Me, though I would grant it to those born to those who's parents are here legally.
Fences are certainly not the answer, and Paul does not believe they are. I am somewhat annoyed that he has played to the anti immigrant forces, without being more clear and forceful on his own position. But the fact is, my position of easy immigration and pro immigration is not very popular.
I don't remember you, ib1, being pro immigration.
Bummer, I was hoping they were good pals so I could meet him. I'll ask Tom about him next time I see him.You gotta be kidding. He said he was friendly with Tancredo. He even stated they have different views on immigration.
Try again.

What do you remember?
He said their views "aren't exactly" the same on immigration and that he'd vote for Tancrado after he loses the nomination.
Would you vote for Tancrado? I sure wouldn't. He's a fucking nut on immigration. Ron Paul doesn't disagree strongly enough with his stance to dissuade him from voting for the man, however.
