My aunt took a deer every year with a semi-automatic gold-engraved Browning BAR 30-.06.

I only learned this around 3 years ago when her son told me that chili she used to make for me that I liked so much was made with deer meat that she took with that .06 every year.
Her husband wanted her to have the best and she was a good hunter.

Here's a big "Fuck You" from me to you and all the gallons of deer meat chili I've eaten and loved over the course of 20 years or so.
 
It is not about protection for most gun lovers. They have arsenals of guns. Home protection requires one. All the others are about something else. Perhaps filling a psychological need. A real man needs a weapon to go shopping.

You say you know so much about firearms, dickhead, come on, let's hear your expertise when it comes to the difference between expansion rates, bullet weights and velocities. What about powders and the difference between them and which powders to use. Would you use a 150 grain bullet or a 180 grain for a deer sized animal? Why? What's the difference? Would you use a boat tail or a flat bottom?
You think there's no difference in expansion rates between a hollow point and a FMJ? How much is there? Or is there little or no difference? Come on, expert, enlighten us...
