Many members of Congress do not have their own place in D. C. They meet Tue-Thurs and travel Fri & Mon to come home to stay in touch with constituents. Many live out of their offices or share an apartment with other members.
Members have commented this has made the partisanship worse because they are not in D. C. enough to make friends with members of the other party and gain respect for them despite political differences. When they lived and spent more time in D. C. they were able to work together with members of the other party.

It got notice from science and an asteroid was named after her. pretty cool for a high school senior. She interned with Ted Kennedy as a senior too. She graduated cum laude at Boston University in economiics and International relations.
