I already KNOW what will happen. Far beyond the slightest shadow of doubt. The same thing that has happened at every other forum I have ever been to. Except one. If you want to know the whole truth, it can only happen at a forum where the truth is allowed. And if you are like the vast majority of other people, you will stay as far away from the truth as you can possibly get. Any meaningful truth that is.

The text you showed isn't worded very well. But I know the drift. Anybody who cares to know knows that people don't just appear on the campaign trail. Somebody pays to put them there. Then pays to fund their campaign. Those people don't do so out of any sense of patriotic duty. It is an investment. And they will want something for their money. I heard a politician in Washington once who was at least honest about it. He said, "There is so much legal graft that goes on in Washington that only a fool would get involved in the illegal kind."

Apparently "truth" to you = unfiltered bullshit. But hey. This forum is pretty hard to get banned from. How do I know? There's a creepy stalker here who followed me from another forum and has reported me (and others as well) in futile attempts to get us banned. We're still here though. So knock yourself out. Speak your "truth" and let's see what happens next. :laugh:

Next, if freedom of speech means an end to "privacy," then I say good by to "privacy." Next, all businesses should be nationalized! And you should be able to buy a good fucking TV that is entirely made in the U.S. Etc. times zillions on that account. Capitalism is a litany of slavery and exploitation. There is nothing republican or democratic involved. It is just doing what is right. Oh, I could go off on quite a rant on that account. None of which couldn't be disputed. (Though you could try)

If the TV business was nationalized, you might not be able to buy a good TV. If the government could only turn out shitty products then you'd either buy them or just not own a TV. And seeing as most Americans would just settle for a shitty TV, that's all the government would make. I agree we shouldn't have Capitalism, where money is the only thing that matters, but we also shouldn't have a system that totally does away with competition or gives the government enough power to become authoritarian.

As for a platform, I'm not interested in any sort of platform. But if there is a forum out there where people communicate with each other, that communication shouldn't be restricted in any way. And if it should happen that somebody says something that you don't like, just put them on ignore. Isn't that why that function exists? That way, you won't have to be exposed to anything else they may say.

In order to have these rules enforced, we'd have to nationalize all forums, but then the government could censor whatever it wants. And when you consider who the president currently is, you just know how easily that could happen if he had that kind of power.

We can do anything any other country can do. But even better. Which includes making top of the line TV's. As far as innovation goes, all that needs to be done is require any government run company that makes anything to make it as well as technology reasonably permits. Next, we do need to do away with competition. Completely and permanently. All that needs to be done is require basic standards to be met. Also, it is often not the companies that do the competing. It is their workers. Who are all too easily driven like dogs. What I would do is find out what a fit person can do in any job at his absolute best and sustainable level. Then require workers to do one quarter to one third as well.

Next, there is no need to nationalize forums. All that is needed is for them to do what the government itself does. Which is third on the list of the first amendment. That being not to abridge freedom of speech. Which means that the government can't censor people.

But here, when they had actual slaves in the south, southern plantation owners had to look out for the upkeep of their slaves. But in foreign countries, that just isn't our concern. As if the dumping companies in other countries subjected the U.S. to to destroy U.S. manufacturing wasn't bad enough.
