Frothy anal lubricant reference might be accurate

For someone who wants to split hairs, you sure don't read very carefully. I said that he "sought to discuss the terms of their divorce while his wife was in the hospital." I was careful not to subscribe any intent to Newt relating to that visit. You, on the other hand, are apparently a time travelling mind reader since you claim to know why Newt went to the hospital.

My statement was 100% truthful. I don't need to lie about it to show what a fuck Gingrich is.

No, I went by what Gingrich actually said. HE said he went to see how she was doing and they ended up getting into an argument about the divorce.

Also... in saying he 'sought to discuss the terms of their divorce' YOU are implying that was his intention. So either back that up or quit making shit up.

Well, at least you have a neutral non-biased source for the claim. I mean, Gingrich has no incentive to lie now does he?

No, I'm saying that's what he did, according to his then wife, according to YOUR source:

Jackie Battley, Jan. 3, 1985: He walked out in the spring of 1980 and I returned to Georgia. By September, I went into the hospital for my third surgery. The two girls came to see me, and said Daddy is downstairs and could he come up? When he got there, he wanted to discuss the terms of the divorce while I was recovering from the surgery.

Now, Gingrich has has plenty of opportunity since 1985 to say that he did not want to discuss the terms of his divorce during the hospital visit and that his wife, fresh out of surgery, insisted on it, but I haven't seen him make that claim. And it isn't a terribly believable scenario that she really really wanted to discuss divorce terms in a divorce she was contesting while she was recovering from surgery and Newt came to visit her uninvited (recall that the kids asked if it was OK for Daddy to come up).

he said she said.....and dung thinks his source is superior

lol

Actually, we don't have a he said/she said. First, no one disputes that divorce terms were discussed. Second, I haven't seen Gingrich ever deny the fact that he sought to discuss divorce terms with her.

Moreover, even assuming that he did dispute that he wanted to discuss divorce terms, it isn't a credible scenario that he showed up at the hospital uninvited and that she, while recovering from surgery, wanted to discuss terms with him after their children asked if it was OK for Daddy to visit her. It isn't plausible.

his intent on the discussion is a he said she said.....so yes, we do in fact have a he said she said.

has obama ever denied he is a muslim? do you really want to go down this road?

So again... since Medicaid ALREADY covered providing free health care to the poor... what was the point of your stupid little Jesus picture pretending that it was Obamacare that provides for the poor?

Why don't you just tell the truth and say you don't give a flying rat's booty about the poor, coverage, or healthcare....as long as you got yours? Tell the truth and shame the devil.
No mincing of words.

LMAO... yes Dung... in a divorce BOTH parties are biased. Thanks captain obvious. You are making a proclamation as if you KNEW what his intent on visiting the hospital was.

Yes, that quote came FIVE years after the event. Again, you have NO idea what happened. You absolutely have no idea that he intended to go their to discuss the divorce. All you have is that five years later she said he wanted to discuss the divorce 'when he got there'. You seem to think that proves your case. It does not.

LMAO... so with the TRUTH thrown in your face you resort to the above line of bullshit?

Tell us genius... WHAT is Medicaid for?

Actually, I know that they discussed divorce terms. That much we should all be able to agree on. From there we look at her statement, the circumstances surrounding the visit, and at his non-denial of what she said occurred (they argued is about all Newt has said notwithstanding multiple opportunities to correct the record) and we can each decide for ourselves what version of events sounds more plausible. That a woman fresh out of surgery whose husband (separated, pending a divorce that she is contesting) shows up uninvited at the hospital decided to talk terms or that Newt brought the matter up.

Moreover, even if you believe that she brought it up, what kind of person actually engages in an argument over divorce terms with a person fresh out of surgery? The fact that they argued over the issue is repulsive enough.

Such a wonderful fellow, that Newt Gingrich!

Battley said in the 1985 interview that her husband’s desire for a divorce came as “a complete surprise” to her, but Gingrich was quoted in the same story as saying the two had talked about divorce “off and on since 1969.”

By the way Dung... in the same article she stated her husbands desire for a divorce came as a "complete surprise".... ie... SHE LIED in that article once.

UnionLeader.com, Nov. 18: “What did happen in the hospital room is something that any couple who has gone though this can totally identify with,” Gingrich said.

“She was recovering and I actually went by with the girls (Jackie and her sister, Kathy Gingrich Lubbers) to see her and be with her, and I was trying to be helpful. And we got into an argument, which I think people who have gone through divorces can probably identify with.”

What we KNOW... is that SHE lied in the interview she gave in 1985 at least once. We know what Newt stated above.

Yes, we know they ended up discussing the divorce.

In that same article in 1985 she stated the divorce was a "complete surprise"... which was a LIE.

Oh, so you not only know Newt's mental state going into the hospital visit, you know that she was not surprised when Newt said he wanted a divorce?

I'm think of a number between one and eleventy billion. Can you guess it?

Tell us genius... WHAT is Medicaid for?

Whatever it's for, it's outdated and outmoded and doesn't provide adequate care. Are you aware of the mortality of folks on Medicaid?
