Gavin Newsom - FUMING - says he has been sent 2 DOZEN "Trump 2028 hats"

No RB I'm just trying to point out that Sunday observance is not scriptural. Most people do it because that is what they were taught to do and they don't really think about it. Christ is our example and he observed the Sabbath. Sunday observance originated with the Roman Catholic Church. They say they had the power to change from the 7th day Sabbath to the 1st day of the week. Most churches are offshoots of the Catholic Church and they took various teachings with them including Sunday worship.

Yes, this was discussed in my Catechetical class years ago.
We concluded that the specific days of the week were not determined when
God created the heavens and the earth, he only rested on the seventh day.
No one could pinpoint the exact day he rested, just that it was the 7th. day.

So if we know Christ did not sin and we know he worshiped on the 7th day Sabbath if we observe the same day as him we are good right?

Acts 20:7 describes an event where, on the first day of the week, the disciples in Troas gathered to "break bread" (partake in the Lord's Supper) and Paul spoke to them for an extended period, continuing his message until midnight because he planned to leave the following day

Nope. Could Sunday be considered the Sabbath, or the last day of the week? From what I've been taught, it is possible.
This is why I rarely get into religious discussions. I believe what I believe and no one is gonna change it. I couldn't care
less what others think of my beliefs, nor do I care what they believe. Just don't criticize me for what I believe. You have no reasons

Paul was an important guest speaker. They wanted to have him speak to them one last time before he traveled the following morning. They kept time from sundown to sundown. They met on Saturday evening after sundown (the beginning of the 1st day of the week) he spoke past midnight then departed and TRAVELED ON the morning of the 1st day of the week.

Again the 1st day of the week starts on Saturday evening when the Sabbath ends at sundown and ends Sunday evening at sundown. Paul would never have walked miles and miles on the Sabbath but he did walk miles and miles on Sunday..

When we have a out of town preacher we frequently have meetings on any day of the week but those services are not Sabbath observance.

So what denomination are you in?

Here is something to consider

Act 13:42

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

Act 13:43
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

So Paul was preaching ON THE SABBATH and the gentiles wanted him to preach to the the next SABBATH. So Paul did preach to them the next Sabbath.

Act 13:44

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Notice that Paul did not say I will preach to you tomorrow the 1st day of the week because the Sabbath changed.

I respect that. Sounds like you are a Catholic. They at least say they changed the Sabbath and had the authority to do it. Most Protestants CLAIM to follow the Bible only, Sola Scriptura , but they don't follow the Bible on the Sabbath.

I am the most hated by the left. I am Evangelical.
