Gaza Strip follies;

If it were 2.4k people, you could just deport them. 2.4 million cannot be moved. Netanyahu realized that, but he also realized that it was a comparatively small amount of land. He was willing to give up that land, and keep the rest. He is trying to extend Israeli settlements in the West Bank... But Gaza he was happy to ignore.

Egypt would be willing to occupy the Gaza Strip, if it were more land, or less people. It is just too many people, on too little land. There is no way to profit from it, but so much loss of blood and money in occupying that tiny area.

Back to Netanyahu. This is hammering home something that Americans often forget about Israeli society, that the IDF is far more left wing than right wing. Netanyahu's supporters are far more likely to avoid national service. Netanyahu does not feel comfortable about taking advice from the IDF.

And yet the IDF has more than on one occasion defended the "settlements" when they initiate conflict in their glacial moves that has been condemned internationally based on the original agreements Israel made.

As for Gaza, check this out:

For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it’s blown up in our faces

And yet again the IDF turned up totally incompetent Oct 7.

Sentence by sentence response:

1. Translation: Port Tack was wrong, but doesn't have the intellectual maturity/honesty to admit it.
Bullshit, nothing I have said is wrong.

2. Port Tack inadvertently makes my case: you force people off their homelands WERE THEY HAD EASY ACCESS TO WATER, put them in area that is walled off, and YOU CONTROL THE WATER IN THAT REGION as it is NOT NATURALLY FREELY ACCESSIBLE. That makes Israel the bad guys here, and knee jerk pro-zionist like Port Tack willfully/genuinely ignorant parrots.

No, Israel forced the Palistinians off of THEIR homeland and they have no responsibility to provide them with anything. Palistinians are muslums, why were they not absorbed by all the other muslim countries like Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt?

3. Port Tack again displays the revisionist mindset of a pro-zionist flunky. NETANYAHU'S ISRAEL DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE PALESTINIAN STATE, that is why they have created the apartheid situation in the region. Further more, as history shows, prior to the declaration of Israel as an independent country, you had jews, palestinians, christians moslems and arabs living in that region for generations. Matters of history, matters of fact.
The only reason Israel may not recognize a Palistinian state is because there isn't one. The only reason the Palistinians cannot live in peace is because THEY do not recognize Israel. The Palistinians fervently declare that Israel has no right to exist yet you think it is their responsibility to furnish them with food, water and electricity? The fact they do not accept Israel and conduct a horrendous attack against them murdering over 1000 people gives Israel the right to wipe the fuckers off the map.

4. Answer. The Egyptians didn't drive the Palestinians off their land and corral them into a ghetto.
Egypt borders Gaza and they have about the tightest border on Earth with them. They will not let a sole from Gaza enter Egypt. Why do you suppose that is?

5. Egypt cannot absorb the entire Palestinian population....period. Not logistically, and not culturally/religiously without major problems. Hell, America bitches about "illegals" while selectively admitting foreigners to set up shop here under the guise of "visa's" and the like. Also, anyone who comes from Cuba gets automatic admittance, processing and eventual citizenship. However, folk fleeing the Duvalier regime from Haiti didn't fare the same.
Egypt cannot absorb the Palistinian population but Israel can? That is truly fucking stupid. The only solution that makes sense is for the muslum countries in the region to absorb the Palistinians and for the Palistinians to accept the fact that Israel exists. As long as the Palistinians refuse to accept Israel and conduct terrorist attacks against them Israel has every right to treat them as such. The Sinai peninsula alone is 2-3 times the size of Israel and practically unpopulated.

6. See #1 - 4. Any rational, objective adult who is more up on the history of the region discuss will easily see the major flaws in Port Tack's blathering.
Any rational adult who can accept history can accept the fact that Israel has every right to exist and as long as the Palistinians won't, they are not going to be treated as neighbors and Israel has no obligation to do a fucking thing for them. And if that neighbor decides to invade and murder 1000 innocents Israel has every right to crush the fuckers like bugs.

Since Port Tack is unwilling or incapable of acknowledging or conceding his error, there is no point in trying to have further discussion with him. I leave him to the last predictable retorts.
No error on my part. Since you seem to think that after HAMAS and these Palistinians invade and murder 1000 innocent civilians that Israel should apologize to them and provide them with all essentials I will leave you to your fucking stupid retorts. What HAMAS did in their attack of Israel would cause most countries to rightfully declare war against them, not provide them with food, water and electricity.

Bullshit, nothing I have said is wrong.

I've forgotten your other screen names over the years, but I recognize the response style. Pathetic.

1. Stating such and logically/factually proving it are two totally different things. You stubbornly refuse to learn/acknowledge that over the years. A pity.

2. Can't you read? JEWS (among other folk) WERE ALREADY LIVING IN THAT REGION ... LONG BEFORE THE EUROPEAN MIGRATION AND SUBSEQUENT ANNEXATION. Look it up, get educated. Oh, and if you're REALLY so hyped about people "returning" to their ancestral homelands, then you should be a STRONG advocate for all the Native American descendants of the nations of people who were screwed out of their land and way of life by YOUR ancestors. YOU are a European....why aren't you and folk like you absorbed back into whatever lineage points you to? Oh that's right ... YOU'RE AN AMERICAN. Also, you may not be of the same religious mindset that your "ancestral" homeland is. That can be a bit of a problem, as history has shown (the Inquisition, birth of British Protestantism, Northern Ireland, etc.). Same thing goes for the Palestinians.

3. True, and that's because after Rabin was assassinated by some zionist asshole, Netanyahu roles in and abandons all the work towards that 2 state solution. And remember, HAMAS won that election by a majority vote, NOT a complete consensus by all the Palestinian people ... people who had been living in apartheid for DECADES and who have enduring illegal encroachments of "settlements" that brought with them the occasional murder. This is why a LOT of people world wide are sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. YES, HAMAS DID A DUMB ASS AND HEINOUS ACTION that gives the IFD an open door for it's current actions...but it was not without provocation. Like I've said, war is done by the arrogant, the desperate and the stupid.

4. :palm: Okay, once more for the cheap seats; you know how religion and ethnic differences can cause conflict among people? For reference, look to Northern Ireland or Italy under fascism, India during the time of Ghandi, etc. Now apply that to what is now known as the Middle East. Hopefully, you get the point.

5. No genius, that is why Rabin was pushing for a mutually agreed 2 state solution! See number 2 & 4. You're talking full relocation? Hell, individual Americans freak out over "eminent domain" claims by corporations. Israel won't even grant "right to return" to displaced Palestinians after the war. So you're blind allegiance to the Zionist mindset doesn't stand up to logical examination.

6. A childish summation and regurgitation on your part that I've already addressed here in #1-5 and in the previous post.

7. Spoken like a true intellectually impotent wonk. You haven't changed in years. I'll put you on ice and watch you chase my threads and posts like a bitch in heat....folk like you just can't stand being bested. See ya in a month or so.

I have NEVER posted anything at this site with any other name so you are full of shit on that count.

You go ahead and try and condone Hamas butchering 1400 innocent Israelis all you want but as far as I'm concerned they are getting what they deserve today. I have no use for assholes that have any sympathy for Hamas OR Palistinians who put them in power.

Israel is not telling how many of its agents have been killed by HAMAS in Gaza and by Hezbollah in the North, but my grapevine says that it is significant, at least 100 in the last two weeks. Recall that almost all of the experts said long ago that going into GAZA would be bloody.

Tough shit if they can't generate their own water supply. That is no fucking reason your neighbor has to give it to you. No you are not occupying another country by not letting them in yours, that is asinine. How come the Palistinians don't attack Egypt? They aren't allowed in there either. If gaza does not have the carrying capacity for all the Palistinians living there it ain't Israels responsibility to furnish it.

Israel has already supplied desalination units to Gaza.

get lost asshole

And this is why I have your simple ass on ignore all the time. YOU COME ONTO MY THREAD and then get pissed when I take you to task on your statements. Here's a thought; stop following me around like a bitch in heat. From now on, I'll ban you from my threads and put you back on ignore in general. Now run-a-long.

Instead of spending gazillions on weapons and building tunnels, Hamas could have built desalination plants decades ago.

Israel-Palestine: Water Sharing Conflict

Water sharing issues form an important part of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The 1990s in particular witnessed extensive efforts to reach a peace agreement and to cooperate on water sharing issues. Yet in the context of a stalled peace process, both sides have failed to isolate the issue of water from the conflict.
