It certainly sounds like something trump would say. he said similar things about McCain, and about other veterans. he showed no ability to honor the code talkers, instead launching a bizarre political attack.

And then we have several people who witnessed it. The only person denying it is trump, and he lies a lot.

I think we can basically treat it like a fact now.

"A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family — for all Gold Star families — on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”...

We are paying ourselves to make the weapons, and then giving them to Ukraine. Many of the weapons we are giving to Ukraine would have expired anyway, so we are only losing the last few years of them, and buying new weapons for ourselves(which we would have had to do anyway).

I would rather be giving weapons for the Ukrainians to fight Putin in Ukraine, than to have to send weapons and Americans to fight Putin in Poland... Or New Jersey.
