”How a Georgia Trump indictment would differ from the federal Jan. 6 case”

“Broader Case - The Justice Department’s indictment of Trump was narrowly focused on the former president, casting him as the ringleader of a far-reaching plot across federal and state governments. Willis has sent target letters to at least 17 individuals. And while federal prosecutors brought charges on four counts in its Jan. 6 case, Georgia law includes several statutes that could be used for charging numerous defendants.“

”Charges will differ - With charges expected to cover a greater number of defendants, the case is also likely to tap a wider number of statues than Trump’s federal case. Experts say Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law could be an asset in bringing a case against Trump and several co-conspirators.”

“Transparency/B] - Federal courts by and large prohibit the photographing and broadcasting of judicial proceedings. The court in Fulton County is comfortable with televising proceedings. In fact, Judge Robert C.I. McBurney of the Fulton County, who has overseen matters tied to Georgia’s Trump investigation so far, has a YouTube channel where he televises his court’s proceedings.”

“No quick, easy out - In the two federal cases where Trump faces criminal charges, Trump might use a future presidential reelection to evade potential consequences. With Georgia, Trump can’t pardon himself, nor can he direct Fani Willis to dismiss charges”

Co conspirators, Rico law, televised on You Tube, and no pardons, hurdles Trump and his army of lawyers have to face

All problems for them but imagine a trial televised live, no Turley or McCarthy framing facts, full public disclosure, OJ’s trial on steroids, and if it comes in the middle of a campaign, Trump’s got problems

Kemp will pardon him.

lol

Kemp has no reason to save Trump

No Republican who is not caught up in the trump crimes wants to save him

If an actual trial is conducted on live TV and he is found guilty I don’t think anyone would pardon him, which would create interesting scenarios if Trump was elected President

Not really, if he is elected it suspends everything, trials, convictions....until he is out of office.

You can't interfere with a president's duties.

If he doesn't he won't be re-elected.

Questionable, and doubtful

If Trump went thru a live televised trial on TV and was found guilty I’d say the Governor’s chances of being re-elected would decrease if he pardoned Trump, plus, fact is, he doesn’t have that power

Only the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles could issue a pardon to Trump if he is convicted of criminal charges in the state. Even then, the board can only consider a pardon if the convicted individual has fulfilled their sentence and five years have elapsed”

No, the Imperial Presidency is only a theory, one Barr made famous in his defense of Trump, plus, it only applies to Federal law, not State law

You lost russian puke pile
He’s dying in prison for his obvious crimes

The secret service protecting him won't allow his incarceration in prison, vinny.
He's legally entitled to their protection for life, and they're not going to spend any time in prison.

We can't make the facts and reality go away.
Let's hope for house arrest instead of acquittal.

They don’t run the justice system

They work for America

They work for America

True.

They also didn't get sentenced to prison time, either.
They won't go there, and shouldn't have to.

Be satisfied with fixing the problem, vinny.
House arrest will do that.
Don't hold out for revenge,
because it's not available to us.
