'Gerry Adams ordered London bombing campaign and a series of notorious murders

Boston is a huge Irish city and what's more was a massive source of funds for Noraid, so I hope that SCOTUS turns down Boston College's pleading to keep the tapes from being released to the PSNI.

Did you happen to fucking SEE Boston yesterday you aspergers' marvel? This would be like, God forbid, there should be a terrorist attack on London, and that very day, I start a thread demanding that British posters address sept 11th.

It's just clueless, that's all, clueless.

Well, yes, but who wouldn't want to look at this gorgeous face?

I'm so beautiful i even make men wet.

It was only a little while ago that Darla was telling everybody that only losers come on here at the weekend. Maybe she is a dirty stopout and hasn't been to bed yet?

I have managed to rile both Snarla and USF at the same time, that's got to be worth a few smarty points!! Maybe they will join forces, you know my enemy's enemy and all that.

Was William Penn German? Is Steel plate Amish? There are no shortage of Irish in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia come to that, ask Christie she will tell you.

True dat.

Thousands Flock Downtown To Watch St. Patrick’s Day Parade

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — It’s a tradition that dates back to 1869. Through wars, the depression and even a blizzard, Pittsburgh loves its St. Patrick Day Parade. And this year was no exception. Chilly temperatures and drizzle didn’t stop thousands of people from heading downtown, regardless of their ethnic background.

The guys on the bagpipes wait all year for this. And so do thousands of Pittsburghers. “We like the bagpipes,” said parade-goer Stephanie Fritzley, of Ross Township. “The bagpipes are our favorite, and the little skirts."

It’s the second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the country.
And it attracts people from outside of Pittsburgh, including one woman who came from Fort Wayne, Ind.

I could see why those with Irish heritage would have an interest but they're only about 10-15% of the population as a whole, and I thought Pennsylvania was originally ethnic German, although nowadays someone living there might come from just about anywhere.

For the most part i'm sure many American still think of England as 'cute accents, bad teeth and terrible food', just as many Brits think of them as loud, stupid and fat. Inaccurate but persistent generalisations (although, fuck me, they are fat).

I could spend the rest of my life in England and still not see everything on my bucket list.

Germans don't drive buggies. Amish do
...someone with your vast knowledge should know that. In MY neck of the woods, there are very few people of Irish descent. The only things I know about Ireland is that there was a stupid fucking war between two Christian sects, St. Patrick's Day is a big deal, and that Dan Rooney is our ambassador to Ireland....and leprechauns.... can't forget about the leprechauns.

I was indulging in ironic or is it sardonic humour?

What does that have to do with what Charver presented; or are you just so narrow minded that you can only focus on a single situation?

It's the same thing. People get pissed and blame them for being evil and having an evil religion and all that shit, but they never even think twice about what's going on over there to push the radicalism.

But someone with a "wide open" mind like you claim to have probably would have made the connection.

Don't forget the annual St. Semtex Day!!

Boston was IRA central in the US for many years, it was the city that donated the most money to Noraid aside from New York. I do not revel in anybody's tragedies but just find it a tad ironic that people are quite so ignorant as to the evils perpetrated by the IRA and subsidised to a great extent by Americans in East Coast cities. In case you have forgotten or indeed for the German Americans, who never followed events over there in the first place, here is a reminder.
