God, Guns, The Bible and Walmart

Hello Threedee,

You are the one who started this thread, and you seem to have a problem with people who shop at Walmart, believe in God, read the Bible, and own guns.

Walmart and Amazon should be far more heavily regulated. They treat workers poorly and extract debilitating amounts of wealth from American communities.

Churches are too powerful. Parents who do not give their children the chance to decide for themselves if they believe in a creator/overseer are guilty of mental child abuse.

I believe in the right to own guns, but that right needs to be far more heavily regulated because there is too much gun violence. The NRA has become nothing more than an advocacy group for gun profiteers bent on furthering gun profits despite the carnage. As far as the NRA is concerned, mass shootings (especially children) are prime profit opportunities.

Stand Your Ground is getting people killed needlessly. It's senseless. It's like saying as long as you have not broken any traffic laws you have no obligation to try to avoid a collision. SYG disregards life.

So what are you going to tell the lower classes when they can no longer shop for "always low prices," because we have forced the cost of shopping up to Fred Meyer levels or higher?

Not always low prices. I have read comparative shopping sites that say Walmart is more expensive if you get lured in by a sale item and then shop there.

Hello Threedee,

Morality has nothing to do with religion. There are atheists who are very moral, very loyal Americans, and there are religious fakes who will stab you in the back and claim bone spurs to get out of serving.

President Trump calls the comments of THE POPE disgraceful. President Trump, responding to the Pope's criticism of him: "For a religious leader to question a person's faith is disgraceful."

Man. If the Pope can't question somebody's faith, WHO CAN?

The President is out of line to call the Pope disgraceful.

Just add that to the YUGE list of all the disgusting things Trump supporters give him a free pass on.

There is a one word answer which rhymes with 'POPE' to answer the question: 'Was President Trump a regular church goer before the 2016 campaign?'

'NOPE.'

Looks to me like President Trump is a FAKE CHRISTIAN.

I bet he only pretends to be a believer to keep the evangelicals buttered up.

Bone spurs? Did you, as a female have to be concerned about being drafted?

Hello Nordberg,

Not always low prices. I have read comparative shopping sites that say Walmart is more expensive if you get lured in by a sale item and then shop there.

That's the way they operate. They have a really low price on what is called the 'loss leader' item. That's the most basic item, the absolute cheapest, usually with no frills, no options. This item is usually placed at the end of the aisle with a giant sign on it. Or it is prominent on the website. This item may even be sold at a loss in some cases, just to make sure it is the lowest price for that item in any competing stores. And if you want that item with more features, then you have to pay more. Or if you want the things that are normally purchased with that item, those things will not be the lowest price compared to competitors. The purpose of that basic item is to lure you into the store. Then, if you purchase other items to go with it, or if you want a more deluxe version of that item, you may be paying a higher price than competitors.

The whole idea is to get you into the store in hopes that you will see something else you want and buy that too. That other item is where they are making their money, and you are paying more.
