Good question! I wonder how many times guys have been questioned when with a gal they picked up in the bar at closing time. The officer administers a breathalyzer test believing the guy is drunk. The gal starts to think he's only with her because he's drunk and the evening ends up being a huge let-down. :(

A federal judge can order a cease and desist order that if the governor refuses to comply, the federal judge can issue an order to show cause why the governor should not be held in contempt. If the judge finds the governor in contempt she can find her ass in jail.

There is an epidemic of murders and kidnappings by illegals in Arizona. 70% of people in Arizona were behind what she did. This administration wouldn't help her, so she had no choice. I say good for her for trying to protect the people.

this produces a serious constitutional crisis then, because a county sheriff is the highest law agent in the county, with the authority to even arrest federal agents.

States may pass laws that mirror Federal law; but they can't pass a law that is in direct conflict with a Federal law.

2008 is only going to be a year behind the most recent year we have stats for. I haven't even heard if DOJ has compiled stats for 2009 yet, so it is possible that 2008 is the most recent. Water just answered your challenge, pwned you with it and you didn't like it. He has done what you required, if you think the stats are wrong post your own. Not only that, but the link Water provided provides reference to other studies that you can look up yourself. water shattered your myth, and you don't like it, so you attack the messenger rather than disproving the link he provided.
